President Donald Trump has come out firing on all cylinders to fulfill the promises he's made to the American people during the 2024 presidential campaign.
He told a rally crowd in Nevada on Saturday that he'd already signed nearly 350 executive actions to fix "every single calamity the Biden administration created." Among those documents, he's taken action to secure the border including restarting building the wall, bringing back the Remain in Mexico policy, stopping the CBP One App, and sending the military to the border to help out.
POTUS: On Day One, I directed every member of my cabinet to marshal all powers at their disposal to defeat inflation...imposed a federal hiring freeze, a regulation freeze, a foreign aid freeze...created DOGE...terminated the Green New Scam...

Trump has also made some other big promises. He spoke about making the Trump tax cuts permanent. That's important, and that's one of things that the Democrats wouldn't have done, had Kamala Harris won. Plus Trump said he'd work on more tax cuts and getting no tax on tips through Congress, an especially important promise to many Americans, including those in the massive hospitality business in Nevada.
PRESIDENT TRUMP: Near the top of the agenda... is to pass a massive tax cut for American workers and families... I'll be working with Congress to get a bill on my desk to cut taxes... keeps my promise for NO TAX ON TIPS! pic.twitter.com/bqmajxe9Ji

"I'll be working with Congress to get a bill on my desk to cut taxes," he said, as well as to "keep my promise for....NO TAX ON TIPS!"
Trump said he halted hiring any new IRS agents, and he was working on either terminating the 87,000 agents who Democrats wanted to foist on the American people or "maybe move them to the border," Trump said to loud applause.

The border of course is where they really need more manpower, so people really loved that line.
Then Trump touched on the ultimate move: no income tax at all. It's clear that it's an idea that he's looking at seriously, and working out how it might happen in connection with his tariffs policy ideas.

If Pres. Trump is able to end income tax, he might just get that face on Mount Rushmore. Talk about winning, that would make a massive change for people. Obviously, there's a lot that would have to be worked out, but at the very least, he's pushing the boundaries and making the discussion of the topic a real thing. It's also a welcome moving away from the mess that the income taax system is right now. He's certainly committed to making big changes, and we've seen that in spades in this first week.
He ended with a tried and true jab at the fake news over how many terms he will serve:
PRESIDENT TRUMP: "It will be the greatest honor of my life to serve not once, but twice... For the next four years, I will not rest, I will not yield, and together, we will not fail. We will WIN WIN WIN!" pic.twitter.com/ASk85nJQYx
