Joe Biden has been doing some pretty bad things on his way out the door, from pardoning his own son to commuting the death sentences of horrible murderers. And we're probably not done yet -- the "anti-Trump" pardons are yet to drop and they will probably be messed up, like most of what Biden has done while he's occupied the White House.
But on Thursday, he might just have hit peak ridiculousness.
He and Kamala Harris were together at the Department of Defense's Commander in Chief Farewell ceremony, despite reports of a further rift between the two over Biden's remarks that he would have won had he remained in the election race.

But because it's Joe Biden, you know you're going to have some moments, like him having to be led around and shown to his place.

This one looks particularly bad, as he appears incredibly stiff and out of it.

But that wasn't all.
Biden gave some short remarks at the event. He said the military members represented "honesty, integrity, and commitment." And that's true. It's just too bad he has never personified that. He slurred throughout his remarks. He also got completely confused when he was talking about Finland and NATO, and lost his point halfway through his ranting.
He also said the military had been "defending Israel against unprecedented attacks on Iran."
"If we don't lead the world, who will lead the world?" he screamed. He also of course took complete credit for the ceasefire deal between Israel and Hamas, which even a spokesperson in his own administration acknowledged came through the auspices of the Trump team. He also spoke about his son Beau, and claimed he died because of burn pits, which wasn't supported by the evidence.
Biden's last comments were for them to "remember their oath," to use it as a set of principles to follow. Maybe he could have followed his own advice. It's incredible ironic that he said that to anyone else, thinking he has any credibility to do so.
But I spoke of ridiculousness. During the event, he was given an award for "Distinguished Public Service" by Secretary Austin on behalf of the Department of Defense. Appropriately, the announcer butchered his name calling him "Barden" at least once.

It was for leaving the U.S. and the Department of Defense "far stronger and far better postured."
First, let's note what a lie that is. Biden's handling of the military withdrawal from Afghanistan left 13 dead, many others wounded, and his denial of any responsibility is a shameful part of his horrendous legacy. His failures emboldened bad actors like Russia, which months later, invaded Ukraine.
So wait, Biden's DoD gave Joe Biden an award? Isn't that like giving yourself an award? How ridiculous is that?
But they weren't done yet. Austin also gave the same award to Jill for "supporting military families."

Jill was not seated in the reviewing stand with Joe and Kamala, she had been in the audience with Second Gentleman Doug Emhoff and others.
