On Thursday, I wrote about the award ceremony in which President Joe Biden gave the second highest civilian honor — the Presidential Citizens Award — to former Rep. Liz Cheney (R-WY) for "putting the American people over party."
I noted how she looked like she didn't want to be there; she really looked like she wanted to flee the stage. But what I didn't see on Thursday and if you look closely, she actually rolls her eyes as Joe Biden grabs her hand and tries to hold her there at about 11 seconds into the video.
Watch the bizarre interaction between Biden and Liz Cheney today…

He jerks her hand back a few times and she rolls her eyes at one point…
Also he looks like he freezes when he’s handing her the bs award… and just holds on to it for too long.

I think she suddenly realized the picture that she was setting. She did everything she could to go against President Donald Trump, and still, he won. She lost in a big way, and then all she's left with is standing next to the cognitively inclined Biden as her reward. That's the side she chose, the side that the American people have soundly rejected. And this was all she got for her trouble, and maybe not even a pardon, after the House Administration Subcommittee on Oversight referred her actions to the FBI for investigation.

Then, too, why is Biden holding onto her so fiercely? Does he think she's Jill? I thought maybe he was holding her for photos, but he wasn't quite as fierce with other awardees.
How worthless are the Democrats? Cheney got sustained applause from presumably a mostly Democratic audience. Dr. Frank Butler, a former Navy Seal who brought in groundbreaking contributions to trauma care that saved thousands of lives, barely got any.

Ted Cruz and others skewered her receiving the award. But perhaps the best take was from Brit Hume, who also pointed out how "repulsive" the award for Cheney was and how wrong the whole Jan. 6 Committee was to begin with.
This is repulsive. That investigation was done by a committee all of whose members were chosen by Nancy Pelosi, and was produced like a TV show. There was no cross examination of witnesses. The media fell for it, but it was utterly one-sided. A show trial. https://t.co/9LSmr8rGCU

It was a one-party show that Biden then was trying to legitimize with this award as doing a service to the American people when it did exactly the opposite: It was a stain on the country.
Things like this are why the American people so soundly rejected the Democrats in the election.
