Joe Biden had a meeting where he was briefed on the response and recovery efforts in regard to Hurricanes Milton and Helene on Friday. He also took a couple of questions from the press.
What he said was concerning.
He seemed confused about who was the president again, calling Secretary of Energy Jennifer Granholm his "boss" and referring to Kamala Harris as "the president."
Was he cooked, or was that just a dig at her?
He rambled on about people being scared in a hurricane.
But he also said something very troubling, attacking people and appearing to threaten them for questioning the government's response to Hurricane Helene.
"I think that those who have been spreading these lies to try to undermine the opposition, they are going to pay a price for it," Biden asserted.
Then he said that former President Donald Trump wasn't the only person doing it, but he was the "biggest mouth" in regard to this.
This reads like a threat not just to a former president but to anyone who is questioning the slowness of the response, which includes a lot of the victims. Is Biden really threatening them?
What does he mean by "pay a price"? This should concern everyone. Everyone has the right to question the government. Biden should simply be focused on the response. But he isn't and people are right to criticize him, both for not getting help to a lot of people, but also for this line of attack. People have free speech and the right to question the government. This is Biden and the Democrats, and some of their media acolytes, again deciding that you are not allowed to question or criticize.
There are a lot of folks who Biden has been slow to get help to, indeed, those who were helped by private entities and organizations, not FEMA. That's a fact.
Could there be anything more chilling of free speech when the person occupying the White House appears to threaten you?
This follows him attacking Trump on Thursday, telling him to "get a life" and help people.

Biden seemed to forget whose job it was to do something. Even though it's not his job (currently), Trump has been visiting with victims, raising money for them, helping get them Starlink, and even putting up Florida Power and Light linemen at his Trump Doral hotel in luxury rooms.
Indeed, it's Biden and Harris spreading misinformation about misinformation, so is he going to make himself and Harris "pay a price"?
The misinformation deflection is about trying to avoid blame for the response, but it's unconscionable that he and Harris seem to be putting focus on this rather than just focusing on helping Americans.
