Democrats are getting desperate with the incredibly unpopular Joe Biden plummeting in the polls and many Americans thinking he's not competent to be in the White House.
So what are their options? They're leaning into whipping up fear against former President Donald Trump -- and not just against him but against his supporters as well.
Let's listen to what Rep. Maxine Waters (D-CA) said on MSNBC on Sunday, attacking Trump for questioning the political nature of the Manhattan business expenses trial and "saying if they can do this to me, they can do this to you."

But then during her rant in the next breath, she's whipping up fear about Trump supporters plotting a civil war without any evidence of any such thing and seemingly referring to Trump supporters as "domestic terrorists."

I am going to spend some time with the criminal justice system, with the justice system, telling us what's going on with the domestic terrorists. Are they preparing a civil war against us. Should we be concerned about our safety? What is [Trump] doing with this divisive language? It is dangerous and we're going to have to make sure that we're not at risk with this man talking in the way he's doing.
"How far is this going to go?" Waters asked. "Are they going to be attacking? Whom are they going to attack? What are we going to do? We're trying to get an investigation going about that."
In May, she'd said something similar, even claiming that Trump supporters were planning on "attacking communities" in a crazy rant, again with no evidence.So she's smearing not only Trump but also millions of Americans. It's far worse than just calling them deplorables. And it's incredibly ironic that she talks about divisive language as she's trying to paint them as a danger to the country. She proved Trump was right on that as well.
Then she's essentially saying she's going to lean on federal law enforcement to investigate Trump supporters. That's incredibly concerning.
But if Trump had just said what she said, she'd be all over him, claiming he was inciting violence.
She also seems to have the same talking points to whip up fear about Trump that the Biden campaign has. We see Biden campaign communications director Michael Tyler talking about this not being a regular election, Trump being a "threat to democracy and "dangerous," so that Biden had to run to "end" the "threat" "once and for all." Talk about concerning and divisive language, especially as Democrats are proposing legislation to try to remove Trump's Secret Service protection.
And isn't she the one who in 2018 called for people to confront people in the Trump administration and get up in their faces? That was during a period where leftists were, in fact, harassing Trump officials and members of the GOP on the street and in restaurants. Does she forget her actions?
