There's a sheriff in Ohio who isn't afraid of pointing out how the border problems have now become the problems of every town across the country.
Last week, Butler County Sheriff Richard K. Jones laid out how badly the illegal alien influx had been hurting his county. He detailed how 999 illegal aliens have been in his jail over the last three years since July 2021; They were holders for deportation from ICE, with. 1,757 charges, costing them more than $1,816,796, according to the sheriff’s office.
Jones specifically called out Joe Biden and the DHS head Alejandro Mayorkas, saying they were responsible for the mess.

"This is killing us and it's destroying our country," Jones exclaimed.
"Everybody. It's affecting all of us. In Butler County times the 3300 counties in the United States. These people aren't doing anything [pointing to a picture of Biden and Mayorkas]. And they're causing it."
He said it didn't matter who elected them. "We've elected these people and they're not responsible, is what they're telling us," he said.
As Jones noted, Ohio is not even a border state and that's how badly it's affecting them. He pointed out the example of a guy that they had in their jail.
The sheriff pointed to Fermin Garcia-Gutierrez, who he said has been in jail 11 times using different names and three dates of birth. Most recently. Garcia-Gutierrez was arrested March 16 for carrying a concealed weapon, having weapons while intoxicated, obstructing and a ICE holder.
Jones said Garcia-Gutierrez has been to prison three times and deported seven times.
“Says it takes him two weeks to get back,” the sheriff said.
The sheriff said that the maximum sentence for those charges was two years and seven months and, “[w]e are going to try to give him a little taste of state prison here in Ohio.”
Jones said illegal aliens coming in aren't "vetted." Speaking about Garcia-Gutierrez, Jones said, "He's carrying a loaded firearm. How does he get that firearm...Has he killed anybody...We don't know what all he's done."
Turns out that now, there's more to the story and Jones' words seem right on target.
Garcia-Gutierrez was arrested this week by the Hamilton, Ohio, police and charged with aggravated murder.
Police Chief Craig Bucheit said officers believe that two days before Fermin Garcia-Gutierrez, 46, was arrested on March 16 on the other charges that Sheriff Jones spoke about, he committed a homicide. They said they'd received a call about a dead body in an alley in the 1100 block of South 13th Street on Monday. They said they ran into Garcia-Gutierrez and "had an encounter with him." They interviewed him on Tuesday night and he was arrested on April 3.
Now, rather than two years and seven months, Garcia-Gutierrez could be facing 30 years or the death penalty.
