NYC firefighters had a big message for Attorney General Letitia James on Thursday.
She was at a firefighter ceremony, speaking at a promotion ceremony.
But the firefighters started booing her, drowning her out. They also repeatedly chanted, "Trump! Trump! Trump!" -- a chant clearly directly at her effort to take down former President Donald Trump through lawfare.
This is how the Democrat activist Attorney General Letitia James, who is going after Donald Trump in New York, was greeted by the FDNY.

"Oh, c’mon, we’re in a house of God," James said dismissively. Even the way she speaks about "House of God" sounds like a putdown.
"Simmer down," she said treating them like they were five years old and she was the school marm. They continued to boo her and then intermittently and loudly chanted, "Trump, Trump, Trump!" She was not at all happy.

It just shows how many are willing to let her know, probably even at the risk of having the higher-ups go after them later, telling her what they think of her and her efforts. Chief of Department John Hodgens chastised the firefighters who were chanting.
"Today’s ceremony was about one thing: the accomplishments of the members being promoted," he said. "The members whose behavior distracted from that celebration were an embarrassment and not befitting of the world’s best fire department."
Normally, I might agree with him, but it was the higher-ups who shamed the ceremony by having the political James there. She ran on a platform of going after Trump, that's shameful and she shouldn't be treated as though that's proper or normal. And she showed how juvenile she was with her response.
She's shown before how badly she can behave by trying to troll Trump on X, posting how much he owes under the judgment she got against him and the interest. It's just another example showing it's all about politics and not about justice. Some suspect that judgment, or at the very least the damage amount, is going to get tossed on appeal. She's hoping to ride her vendetta against Trump into higher office in the state. But just as with Fulton County DA Fani Willis, she seems to have some of her own issues, living high on the public hog. And the FDNY is letting her know they and others have her number.

Indeed, more people need to be calling out the lawfare because this is a true stain on the rule of law when things are handled in this matter. It turns us into a banana republic and the FDNY has it just right. That's the real "attack on democracy."
