Disgusting: Kirby Downplays Injuries to American Military in Iraq, As Attacks Continue

Joe Biden is always talking about the military.

But his administration has a very careless approach to the safety of the members of the American military. We've seen it now many times from Afghanistan and how they dealt with the death of the 13 young Americans killed in the bombing during Biden's chaotic withdrawal until now.

Last week, we saw that Pentagon spokesperson Brig. Gen. Patrick Ryder had an abysmal response on the missing Navy SEALs who went into the water in the Gulf of Aden as they were part of a mission to interdict advanced weapons being sent from Iran to the Houthis. But when the question was posed, they seemed like they couldn't even understand why he was being asked and then had no answer. NSC spokesperson John Kirby just ignored the question completely. Then finally on Monday, they decided to declare the missing SEALs dead after ten days.

Part of the problem is that the administration hasn't dealt with the Houthis and the other Iranian proxies seriously. Biden first took the Houthis off the terrorist list and cozied up to Iran. Is it any wonder that they thought they could have free rein to do what they wanted? On top of that, as I noted, part of the problem is the incredible pass the Biden team has given them in sanctions without teeth as well as a carveout that enables them to bypass the sanctions.

But as I reported, the Iranian proxies attacked U.S. forces again on Saturday at Al-Asad Air Base in Iraq. The initial report was two members of the American military were injured, then the number became more amorphous with CENTCOM saying a number of Americans were being evaluated for traumatic brain injuries.

Then, on Monday, Kirby disgustingly downplayed that incident, as he sought to minimize Americans receiving traumatic brain injuries from Iranian-backed attackers.

Well, as we understand at this early hour on Sunday morning, it's only a very small number of U.S. troops that were affected. They're being seen for traumatic brain injuries with some symptoms of concussions, but no serious physical injuries other than that, not that that's not serious enough. Of course, it is, but we understand it's a small number, and it's limited to traumatic brain injuries. Obviously, we're going to do what we have to do to protect them. These attacks have to stop, and we've made that very clear. We're going to continue to take the kinds of actions we need to better defend ourselves.

How disgusting is that? Oh, it's just a little traumatic brain injury. For who knows how many people because he wouldn't say. But other than that, no big deal.

He's asked what they're going to do to stop it, and his answer is, "These attacks have to stop; we've made that clear." Saying "don't" and hitting equipment isn't doing it. Even Biden admitted the quiet part out loud — that this wasn't working. So what are you going to do to stop it, and when are you going to hold Iran to some real account for any of this?

Yet the attacks are continuing and even increasing.
