We've been reporting on the story of the staffer who worked for Sen. Ben Cardin (D-MD) who filmed himself having sex with someone in a Senate hearing room, which was then posted on a public X account.
The accused staffer, Aidan Maese-Czeropski, released a statement trying to make it about people attacking him for "who he loved" and claiming that he would never "disrespect" his workplace. That took real nerve when the response was about doing such a thing in the Senate hearing room and then posting it on social media.
Staffer Named in 'Sex in Senate Room' Story Responds, Senator's Office Also Weighs In
He was also identified by Rep. Max Miller (R-OH) for yelling "Free Palestine" at him while he was talking with NBC reporter Ali Vitali. Vitali reported the encounter, but described the person as a House staffer.
Cardin's office then subsequently said that the accused staffer, Aidan Maese-Czeropsk, was "no longer working" for the office." But they refused to say more.
Where has the media been while conservative outlets were breaking the story?
Here's NBC finally weighing in, and guess what the story is about? You would think it would be about the Senate staffer and the scandal. Instead, it seems to be more about conservatives pouncing.
Holy crap.

“Alleged by conservative outlets” is one heck of a euphemism from NBC News for posting porn on your Twitter account. pic.twitter.com/rgfza96oWx
First, NBC didn't get around to the story until Cardin got around to letting the staffer go.
But then suddenly the story is "alleged by conservative outlets," according to their headline. The visuals were hardly "alleged"; they were pretty hard to miss. Did they not read his statement? They have it in the article. He says people are attacking him "for who I love." He didn't even have in there, "I didn't do it." It was pretty shocking and big news. The facts should immediately have had the liberal media jumping on it too. Except they didn't. They didn't even jump after he issued a statement on the matter. But if Cardin parted ways with the guy, do they truly think it's "alleged?" Cardin's office didn't seem to think so.
People wonder why Americans no longer trust the media. It's things like this. I think it's far more than conservatives who were concerned about this, but the fact that they paint it this way says a lot about their bias.
NBC also said they couldn't identify who the person was in the encounter with Miller. Really? Vitali noted the encounter as remarkable so one would think she would know. Is it that she's not sure or NBC doesn't want to say?
It’s conservative news outlets’ fault?

Ridiculous headline.
NBC News is working for the Democrats. https://t.co/cHOfSyCae4
If Slate or HuffPost broke the news that a GOP staffer made a sex tape in the Senate hearing room, it’s safe to say NBC wouldn’t write “alleged by liberal outlets” in its headline. https://t.co/cYcH0E8ONv

NBC is an alleged news network.
