San Fran Cleaned Up for Xi, but Not Enough - as News Crew Discovers When Armed Men Pull Up

As I noted earlier, Joe Biden is in San Francisco on Tuesday to attend the APEC Summit and meet with Chinese leader Xi Jinping. Unfortunately, Biden is not in great shape, and I can't imagine it's going to go well.

What was also fascinating about the visit of Xi was that San Francisco — which has been a hell hole for some time with homeless and drug addicts strewn out all over the streets of the downtown area — suddenly found the ability and the will to clean it up. They wouldn't clean it up for the regular residents, but they'd clean it up to impress a Chinese dictator. California Gov. Gavin Newsom even admitted that was what it was about: cleaning for the visit. Shows you what they think about their residents. Mayor London Breed also tried to claim they'd been working on this for a while. But if that were true, they had nothing to show for it and it had just gotten worse — until the visit.

But moving the homeless to another part of the city doesn't truly solve the underlying problems; it just makes the area look a little nicer temporarily. It's like slapping a nice coat of paint on a crumbling building. You still have to address the underlying crumbling building. An incident with a Czech television news crew shows that some of the issues are still there.

A Czech television news crew was robbed while covering the annual Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) summit in San Francisco, according to reports.

Journalist Bohumil Vostal told the San Francisco Chronicle he was getting a shot of City Lights Bookstore "when three masked assailants approached with guns pointed."

"They were heading at my camera man, aiming a gun at his stomach, and one at my head," Vostal said. He added the incident happened around 5 p.m. Sunday.

They wanted all the camera gear. The news crew didn't argue in the face of the guns and handed over more than $18,000 worth of equipment and footage from their day in San Francisco. Then, the suspects jumped back in their car and fled.

So, for all the "paint" to clean up, the visitors are still getting a taste of the real San Francisco that the residents have to deal with. They cleaned up the homeless and the drug addicts, but they forgot the robbers. The criminals that the lax DAs let out are still out there, free to do what they will on the streets of San Francisco. But now you can get robbed while the street smells nice.

Welcome to Newson's California and Joe Biden's America, where the world can now see what uncontrolled leftism does to an area. I wonder what Gavin Newsom has to say about this now?
