As we reported, Joe Biden said on Wednesday in Israel that he would be funneling $100 million more in aid to Gaza and the West Bank.
That raises a lot of questions. First, has this even been approved by Congress? Second, why are we sending aid to people who hate us? Third, what's the guarantee that it wouldn't end up going to Hamas, who controls the area?
Secretary of State Antony Blinken had already tipped off this plan would be coming the day before.
SEC. BLINKEN: “The U.S. and Israel have agreed to develop a plan that will enable humanitarian aid from donor nations and multilateral organizations to reach civilians in Gaza, and them alone.”

What Blinken said about ensuring that the aid got to the people and not to the Hamas terrorists was hard to believe and stunningly naive. It showed us what trouble we are in with this incompetent administration. If Hamas swipes it, Blinken said, the Biden team would be the "first to condemn it" — and keep right on trying to send it, despite that. How bad is that answer? I'm sure Hamas will be very put off by their possible condemnation. Not.
But remember, this is the Biden team. They can always get worse and go lower. How can you top Blinken's comment?
Enter Deputy National Security Advisor Jon Finer. But I give you fair warning, this may make you want to pull your hair out in frustration at these people.
Finer was on CNN when he was asked by the host about the aid question. How are you going to "ensure none of the $100M for Gaza/West Bank "ends up in the hands of Hamas?" the host asked Finer.
Q: How will you ensure none of the $100M for Gaza/West Bank "ends up in the hands of Hamas?"

DEP. NSA JON FINER: "It involves securing an understanding among Hamas..."
Q: We should "take the word of Hamas...?"
FINER: "We believe there is an understanding" pic.twitter.com/zT8fuqjX53
Finer claimed it was a "primary focus" of Biden during his visit to Israel.
That's when he went over the edge. "Getting assistance into Gaza is a complicated undertaking. It essentially involves securing an understanding among Hamas fighters, who control the checkpoints on the other side of the border, among the government of Israel and among the government of Egypt." He said that Biden was "quite clear" that this assistance cannot be "misappropriated." "It cannot be taken by Hamas fighters for their own purposes, so we are going to be watching that very closely," Finer concluded.
But the CNN host picked up on the incredible thing he just said — that they were apparently relying on keeping the aid safe from Hamas by relying on an understanding with...Hamas. "Is the U.S. in the position where it has to take the word of Hamas?" she said. "We believe there is an understanding among all the players who control the crossing, the Rafah crossing, in Egypt," came Finer's response.
Translation: Yes, they're relying on Hamas to protect the aid from Hamas. Because we can surely trust terrorists who kill and kidnap children. The people we have in charge have no idea what they are doing and/or they want to do us in.
Aid to Gaza is their priority, and it's an insane priority.
Meanwhile, what should be their priority — the Americans still being held hostage and the justice for those killed — seems like just an afterthought.
Even for the incredibly low expectations we have for the Biden/Blinken team, this is both ridiculous and absurd.

They have an “understanding” with the infant-beheading terrorists in Hamas that they won’t resort to stealing money.
Holy crap. God help all of us. https://t.co/hfahwlGLqP
The Biden Admin also had an “understanding” with the Taliban during the Kabul evacuation

How’d that turn out? https://t.co/NYNWpGXMGb
