As we reported earlier, the Democrats were seeking to avoid the vote on a continuing resolution to avoid a government shutdown on Saturday. They tried to make a move to adjourn the vote.
But they got a little help from a fire alarm that went off in the Cannon Building and forced an evacuation. The incredible thing about that is that Politico and Fox are reporting the person who pulled the fire alarm was Bowman. He was supposedly caught on camera and we now have a reported picture. If he did that to obstruct an official proceeding -- the crime that some J6 people were charged with -- then he is in deep trouble.

That's nuts, I don't think I've ever seen or heard of any lawmaker doing such a thing.
But now he's trying to clean up the mess. And his statement is beyond belief having done what he did.

“Congressman Bowman did not realize he would trigger a building alarm as he was rushing to make an urgent vote. The Congressman regrets any confusion.”
According to Axios' Andrew Solender, Bowman spox Emma Simon has issued a statement on him pulling the fire alarm, “Congressman Bowman did not realize he would trigger a building alarm as he was rushing to make an urgent vote. The Congressman regrets any confusion.”
Wow. It's not confusion, it's a potential crime.
This isn't the kind of thing where you can just say, "I'm sorry" and hope it goes away. But it sounds like he's hoping he can do that.
Now, we're about to find out if there are two systems or if this guy is going to be held to account.
