Hakeem Jeffries Gets Hilariously Fact-Checked When He Lies About New 'Weaponization Committee'

We reported on the importance of the new House Select Committee to look into the weaponization of the federal government — including the FBI and the intelligence community. Rep. Thomas Massie (R-KY) announced it on Tucker Carlson’s show and House Speaker Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) followed through on it.

This wasn’t just something pulled out of the air, but based, among other reasons, on FBI whistleblowers pointing out all kinds of bias and problems, and the politicization of the FBI over recent years, including over the Hunter Biden case, Trump matters, domestic terrorism cases, as well as all kinds of problem with corruption and cover-ups. That was even before the revelations of the Twitter Files that showed the involvement of the FBI and other government agencies in the suppression of speech and even how Rep. Adam Schiff (D-CA) tried to get a journalist censored.

Every Republican voted for the Committee and every Democrat voted against it. As I reported, Rep. Adam Schiff seemed particularly worried about it and lied his head off about what it was about. What are they trying to hide?

It tells you just how much the Democrats care about protecting the rights of Americans — which is to say, not at all.

House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries also was spouting off on it, as well, making up some names to attack the Committee and demonizing Americans by calling them “extreme MAGA Republicans.” “Extreme MAGA Republicans have established a Select Committee on Insurrection Protection. We will fight it tooth and nail,” he said.

So he’s not interested in investigating the complaints of the whistleblowers — one has to ask why? He’s going to fight against protecting the American people and ensuring there isn’t a two-tiered system of justice? Doesn’t that just say it all? He’s not doing very well in his first effort to demonize Republicans.

Now, what was hilarious was even as he tried to demonize Americans and lie about the Committee, he forgot he’s no longer tweeting on a Democratic-run media organ. He can’t continue to just lie and not get busted for it. The Community Notes aspect of Twitter — which Twitter head Elon Musk brought into play — has now nailed Jeffries on the matter.

“The actual committee is the “Select Subcommittee on the Weaponization of the Federal Government”, chaired by Representative Jim Jordan, Republican of Ohio. It was passed 221-211 with all Democrats opposed,” the Community Notes corrected Jeffries.

They’re not going to be able to lie as they have been with impunity. This is one of the things the Twitter change is bringing — truth.
