It looks like the increased Congressional pressure on the bias at the FBI may be bearing fruit.
According to the Washington Times, a senior FBI official who whistleblowers had pointed to in terms of the biased handling of the case in regard to Hunter Biden’s laptop is reportedly out of a job.
The information came from two former FBI officials familiar with the situation.
Mr. Thibault was seen exiting the bureau’s elevator on Friday. He was escorted by two or three “headquarters-looking types,” according to eyewitness accounts provided to one of the former officials.
It’s not clear if he resigned on his own or was forced out. He had been on leave after the allegations came out, and he had been the Assistant Special Agent in charge of the public corruption unit at the Washington Field Office.

As we previously reported, Thibault had been at the center of a firestorm of whistleblower complaints alleging political bias, that Thibault allegedly declined to open or did open investigations based on political partisanship. According to Sen. Chuck Grassley (R-IA), citing the whistleblowers, investigations were opened including against President Donald Trump based upon flimsy liberal media reports while the matters with strong evidence regarding Hunter Biden were shut down.
"This goes beyond Hunter Biden, this goes to more the broader issue of whether or not there are people in the Justice Department that are closing down cases that should be continued because of political influence," Sen. Chuck Grassley tells Newsmax's @Greta Van Susteren. pic.twitter.com/N5qlv7FCpO

While Thibault was reassigned from the WFO prior to the obtaining of a warrant to raid Trump’s home, members of the office were allegedly involved in the raid.
Thibault was also allegedly involved in pushing out unvaccinated agents from the FBI’s election squad whom he believed to be Trump supporters.
If the FBI thinks that pushing Thibault out and laying everything on him is going to quiet the questions, Grassley made it plain that wasn’t going to work.
“Mr. Thibault’s blatant partisanship undermined the work and reputation of the FBI. This type of bias in high-profile investigations casts a shadow over all of the bureau’s work that he was involved in, which ranged from opening an investigation into Trump based on liberal news articles to shutting down investigative activity into Hunter Biden that was based on verified information,” Mr. Grassley said in a statement to The Times.
“Political bias should have no place at the FBI, and the effort to revive the FBI’s credibility can’t stop with his exit. We need accountability, which is why Congress must continue investigating and the inspector general must fully investigate as I’ve requested,” he said.
While this guy may have gotten the boot, they need to run to ground everything he was involved in and stop probes if they were wrongly opened and re-open things he shut down. But it’s also not just him. They just can’t try to cover things up by by blaming this guy when according to the whistleblowers the problems are endemic. There needs to be a true housecleaning, starting with what this guy did in regard to Trump and Hunter Biden.
