Joe Biden was diagnosed with COVID on July 21. He had negative tests last week, but then tested positive again on Saturday.
Both his doctor, Dr. Kevin O’Connor, and Joe Biden himself said he had no reemergence of symptoms.
Folks, today I tested positive for COVID again.
This happens with a small minority of folks.
I’ve got no symptoms but I am going to isolate for the safety of everyone around me.
I’m still at work, and will be back on the road soon.

Here’s the doctor’s letter from July 30.
In further letters on July 31 and August 1, the doctor didn’t mention any symptoms but mentioned he would inform people if there were any changes in his condition.

But then on Monday, White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre said Biden had no “reoccurring symptoms” and then in the next breath suggested he had lingering symptoms. The doctor’s letter from Monday morning never mentioned that.

That understandably had the confused reporters going, “Huh? What are they selling us now?”
A reporter asks her if she can explain that.
Karine Jean-Pierre confirms Biden is experiencing "lingering symptoms" from COVID.
Biden's personal physician said NOTHING about "lingering symptoms" in his letter this morning. pic.twitter.com/5K1uHgpvZw

Jean-Pierre said she means there are things but not severe things.
‘No reoccurring symptoms – meaning like, if you look at [O’Connor’s] original letter, there’s nothing. There’s nothing severe right? Because he feels fine. He feels he feels good.’
‘But as we know, all of us have had COVID, we do have a little bit of a lingering cough, a little bit of maybe a lingering sniffle. That’s not uncommon to happen, so that’s what we are talking about,’ she said, without specifying the exact nature of the president’s ailments.
The reporter asks so what you mean is that he’s not having something like a fever return? Jean-Pierre denied that Biden had ever had a fever during his illness although he did have an elevated temperature of 99.4, according to one of the doctor’s letters.
In other words, he is having “reoccurring symptoms” although she was unclear about just exactly what they are. So why aren’t she and the doctor just saying that and why is she acting like symptoms aren’t symptoms? They can’t give us a straight answer about anything. This is one of those reasons that we should have the doctor available to be questioned because supposedly he’s the one seeing Biden, not Jean-Pierre. At least we’re not having Dr. Ashish Jha, the White House COVID coordinator telling us how Biden cleaned his plate and ate all his vegetables.
No one had seen Biden since Thursday until this evening when he made some comments on the killing of al-Qaeda leader Ayman al-Zawahiri. His doctor said he still would continue to isolate himself in the residence.
Joe Biden hasn't been seen in public since Thursday.

Is transparency a joke to the White House? Clearly.
