Elon Musk's Response to AOC About 'Stress' Puts the Fun Back in Twitter

One of the things that has made Elon Musk’s takeover of Twitter so much fun is he’s driven the left mad with just his claim that he believes in preserving free speech on Twitter. He also has shown that he has a sense of humor. Yes, he wants to preserve free speech on the platform — but he also shows that he wants people to have fun on it.

He has a lot of fun with it himself. On Friday, he proved that again, when he delivered a master-level response to Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY).

AOC was sharing one of her typical “I hate billionaires” rants.

“Billionaires be like “the extreme far left is taking over” when the “extreme far left” in the US is “medicine shouldn’t bankrupt you,” “wages should cover rent,” & “maybe it’s bad that Wall St companies profit off mass surveillance, manufactured housing crises, and caging people,”” were among her tweets. AOC also tweeted:

“The number of billionaires in the US couldn’t even fill an apartment building, but the number of people they negatively impact is only growing. All the US billionaire votes combined couldn’t even come in 2nd for an NY city council election. That’s why they stay pressed.”

But then she took a shot that seemed aimed at Elon Musk.

“Tired of having to collectively stress about what explosion of hate crimes is happening bc some billionaire with an ego problem unilaterally controls a massive communication platform and skews it because Tucker Carlson or Peter Thiel took him to dinner and made him feel special,” AOC declared.

So, saying you want to buy a company and protect free speech equals hate crimes. How does someone’s thinking get that twisted? And this is something that she has to “collectively stress about”? Seriously?

They’re doing the same thing to Elon Musk that they did with President Donald Trump. Anything bad is now related to him, even if he hasn’t gotten control of Twitter yet, and there is no such “explosion of hate crimes.” But other than that, and having nothing to do with reality, great tweet there, AOC.

However, Elon Musk had the perfect response.

How epic is that? It’s a recollection of AOC’s claim last December that Republican criticism of her was really them wanting to “date her.”

This time, AOC got ratioed into oblivion with the people who loved Elon’s response. She tried to cover herself, after getting so completely burned, by tweeting that she was talking about Mark Zuckerberg, but then she quickly deleted that. Probably because it was so obvious it was a lie and — because Zuckerberg is very supportive of Democrats.

Nicely done, Elon. That has to be one of the great tweets of all time, and a great way to respond with humor. I’m just betting she doesn’t give up her Tesla, though.
