Joe Biden seems constitutionally incapable of taking the blame or responsibility for anything he does wrong.

Anytime he gets called out for doing anything wrong, it’s always someone else’s fault, no matter what hoops he might have to jump through to try to argue it away, as we saw during the debacle of a withdrawal from Afghanistan.

He was at it again today, during G20 meetings in Rome.

Biden met with French leader Emmanuel Macron, where the topic of strained relations between the two countries came up during questioning from reporters.

Historically, our relations with France have always been very strong. But Biden stepped in it big time with them over the AUKUS defense deal with the United States, Australia, and the United Kingdom. The deal provided submarines for Australia to have some defense against threats from China. But that left France in the lurch, when they thought they had a deal with Australia to provide them submarines and it looked like the U.S. snaked them with our actions.

France was so angry, it recalled its ambassadors from both the United States and Australia, calling it a “stab in the back.”

But Biden’s response was not only embarrassing, it once again laid blame on someone else and indeed, contradicted what his climate czar John Kerry has already said about the incident. Biden acknowledged what was done was “clumsy, not done with a lot of grace.”

“I was under the impression that certain things had happened that hadn’t happened,” Biden claimed. When pressed on what he meant he said he was “under the impression that France was informed long before that the deal was not going through.”

In response to Biden’s remarks, Macron said it was important to make sure that “such a situation will not be possible for our future.”

When the spit hit the fan earlier this month on the issue, Kerry told the French that Biden had not been aware of what was going on. ““He asked me,” Kerry said. “He said, ‘What’s the situation?’ He literally had not been aware of what had transpired,” Kerry told a French news channel. But he said he didn’t “want to go into the details of it.”

Basically, Biden is once again trying to blame others for not informing France. But when you get down to it here, he had no idea about what’s going on, any way you slice it. So, the ball got dropped big time, whoever else he might want to blame.

Why would he have to ask John Kerry what was going on, if he did have any idea? That was troubling in and of itself, that Kerry would have to be the one briefing him. And it’s embarrassing when he basically reveals now — in front of the world — that he had no idea. He’s supposed to be the one where the buck stops. But that may only be when we’re talking about his 10 percent from Hunter.
