Democrats don’t give a rap about actual racism.

They’re all-in on trying to accuse Republicans of racism for election security laws that don’t have anything to do with race but will ensure that everyone’s vote actually counts.

But when Sen. Sheldon Whitehouse (D-RI) was questioned about belonging to an all-white beach club and then called it a “long tradition,” Democrats didn’t condemn Whitehouse. Even after Whitehouse, while trying to defend his remarks in regard to that club, admitted that he belonged to another “sailing club” (reality: yacht club) that “lacked diversity” (his words, obviously indicating you have to go a long way to find any people of color there), Democrats still defended Whitehouse.

Democrats made it really clear that racism was something they only pretended to care about when they could try to twist it to their political benefit, not when it might expose how hypocritical they are on it, as in the case of Whitehouse.

But while Democrats may be trying to ignore the issue and get it all behind them, BLM just announced they aren’t going to let Sheldon slide.

According to ABC6, BLM Rhode Island wants him to cut all ties with the beach club or resign, member Mark Fisher said.

“This is an issue that’s not going to go away and Senator Whitehouse needs to address it, he needs to take it on,” Fisher declared. “If he thinks we’re just going to forget about it, if he thinks that it’s going to get swept under the rug; it’s not.”

Bailey’s Beach Club has disputed the claim that they were all white and Whitehouse has claimed that he’s not a member anymore. Yet his family is and his wife is a big shareholder in the club, so he can be at the club as a guest of his family.

BLM says they’re giving him until Friday to announce that his family no longer has ties with the club or they will start protesting him. “We’ll go to his club, we’ll go to his office, we’ll go to his home,” he told ABC6, “wherever we need to go.”

This club is a proven racist club with exclusive ties to supremacy and exclusion, and that’s something that’s not going to be tolerated by me, by my associates, my affiliates or my organization,” Fisher said.

I’m against the concept of protesting anyone at their home and one has to wonder where BLM has been since this broke awhile ago. But it is something to see folks on the left turn on their own when they realize how hypocritical they all are.
