McConnell Ticks off a Boatload of Republicans With His Remarks About Vaccinations

The one thing that could kill the Republicans in 2022 is if they continue to try to be like Democrats.

If they’re not drawing a clear distinction between themselves and the Democrats, why should voters feel any need to come out and vote for them?

We’re in an existential battle against the radical left’s effort of control. What we need is more recognition of that fact.

Instead, what we got was Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) talking like the Democrats and threatening us with more potential lockdowns.

“These shots need to get in everybody’s arms as rapidly as possible or we´re going to be back in a situation in the fall that we don’t yearn for — that we went through last year,” McConnell said at a news conference, seemingly implying lockdowns might be in the future, although not saying that explicitly. “This is not complicated.” “It never occurred to me that there would be difficulty getting Americans to get the shot,” he said.

How about no to lockdowns? And no. And hell, no!

If you want to get vaccinated, get vaccinated. Americans at this point are certainly able to make up their own minds. It’s up to Americans and their medical doctors. Not the government.

But you’re not going to convince anyone by threatening people with more lockdowns. Indeed, that just makes people question all the more why there’s such an overwhelming effort. It’s exactly the wrong thing to do. Lockdowns are done. And if you think that recent Paris and London marches with thousands in the streets were a lot against lockdowns, you ain’t seen nothing like the marches you will see if you try to impose them again.

The reaction to McConnell’s statements on social media was, needless to say, less than polite. Indeed, the cursing at McConnell may have hit new heights, on both sides of the aisle. The left attacked him, failing to note he’s always been pro-vaccine. The right attacked him over threatening the lockdowns. He ticked off everybody all over the internet. At this point Republicans have had enough of their alleged leaders like Mitch acting like Democrats. Either stand for freedom or give up the name of Republicans or conservative. Because if not, then a lot of Republicans and conservatives are going to give up on you and the other Republicans.

Not only shouldn’t McConnell be calling for this, he should be very prominent calling out Biden’s admitted effort to suppress speech. Yet, he isn’t.

Here are a few of the reactions that aren’t full of curses at McConnell.

Republicans, always about seizing defeat from the jaws of victory.
