Rules for Thee, Not for Me: John Kerry Gets Busted Violating Biden Mask Mandate Again at Airport

One of the things that has been most aggravating for Americans during the pandemic (and granted, there have been a lot of things) is having governmental restrictions imposed on them but then seeing politicians in power flaunting those same rules.

We saw that repeatedly among Democrats. When people were prohibited from eating indoors, there was California Governor Gavin Newsom chowing down at the French Laundry. Salons prohibited from opening and people prohibited from getting their hair done? There were House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot flouting those rules. In the words of Lightfoot, she has to meet the public, so she was justified.

Enter John “Lurch” Kerry, Biden’s presidential envoy on climate, a cabinet-level position with the latest example of Democrats’ “Rules for thee but not for me.”

Biden’s mask mandate is still in place at airports and on planes. But according to the Fee Beacon, John Kerry was caught walking through Boston’s Logan International Airport without a mask as he was going through a body scanner on Monday morning.

Logan Airport told the Free Beacon masks are still required including during the security screening. TSA told them the only exceptions are passengers under the age of two, for example, or those who have health issues that would preclude them from wearing face coverings. Neither of which would appear to Kerry (although sometimes he reasons like one under two).

Kerry had been busted on a flight in March without a mask before. After that incident, he tried to argue that he had just dropped it momentarily and anyone saying otherwise was pushing “malarkey.” “Let’s be clear: If I dropped my mask to one ear on a flight, it was momentary,” Kerry wrote in a Twitter post on March 17. “I wear my mask because it saves lives and stops the spread. It’s what the science tells us to do.” Except when you don’t feel like it, apparently.

The Boston Herald asked the State Department about the most recent incident and they had no comment. Of course, because why should Kerry even deign to respond to peasants who would dare question why the Biden edicts don’t apply to him?

Sen. Rand Paul is arguing to dump the mask mandate and it should be voluntary. But Kerry has argued for it, yet, not applied it to himself while wanting it applied to you. Families have been kicked off planes for their two-year-olds not having a mask on. But it’s apparently just cool if Kerry blows it off. Haughty Lurch strikes again.
