As we reported yesterday, the Inspector General’s report on the clearing of Lafayette Park last year blew up yet another lie promoted by the media ad nauseam over the past year — that horrible President Donald Trump had ‘brutally’ cleared the park and gassed ‘peaceful protesters’ because he wanted to take a ‘photo op’ at St. John’s Church.

On the contrary, the report decisively put that to bed, as my colleague Sister Toldjah reported.

To quickly recap, per the report, “the evidence we reviewed showed that the USPP cleared the park to allow the contractor to safely install the antiscale fencing in response to destruction of property and injury to officers occurring on May 30 and 31. Further, the evidence showed that the USPP did not know about the President’s potential movement until mid- to late afternoon on June 1—hours after it had begun developing its operational plan and the fencing contractor had arrived in the park.”

Additionally, contrary to the claims that the “protesters” were peaceful, 49 Park Police officers were hurt because of attacks. That pretty much shoots the heck out of the “peaceful protester” lie.

Not to mention that “protesters” had set fire to the church the night before, causing hundreds of thousands of dollars in damages, some of which has still not been repaired. Hence the reason that President Donald Trump was going there, which seems like a pretty good reason.

All this was really known last year, as we reported at the time. But that didn’t stop the media from continuing with the lie.

So is the media apologizing and admitting they were wrong? Not Joe Scarborough. He’s simply refusing delivery on the truth. Even with a decisive report, Morning Joe can’t let it go and is still insisting the lie must be truth, because they really really want it to be because of that bad Orange Man. This is what Trump Derangement Syndrome does to people, it just destroys them, damn reality and the facts.

Imagine how desperate this is. So their story is blown, it wasn’t done at the behest of Trump. But in any event, they were not peaceful protesters, so it was properly done, to begin with, even if it had been. But they’re so deep in the delusion it doesn’t matter, they keep pushing the lie.

Notice they have not a whit of concern here for the injured Park Police, for the church the rioters torched or the other things damaged, and most certainly not for the threat that the rioters posed to the White House or the president. The same people who want 24/7 coverage of another riot down the road aren’t at all concerned about any of this or why the fencing was needed.

One more lie shot down and they just can’t take it.
