Rand Paul Threatened After Folks on the Left Cheer Violence Against Him

Over the weekend, Sen. Rand Paul (R-KY) said that he wasn’t getting vaccinated because he already had the Wuhan coronavirus and therefore had natural immunity to the virus.

Paul is a medical doctor. He’s an eye surgeon, so he certainly can make an informed decision for himself. But the left flipped out.

Folks on the left who didn’t seem to understand the concept of natural immunity attacked him, suggesting that he was “anti-vaccine,” when that isn’t what he said at all. They were so angry that he dared not be vaccinated that they cheered his neighbor. In so doing, they were cheering Paul being assaulted. His neighbor, Rene Boucher, attacked Paul, breaking six of his ribs and causing him serious lung damage. Paul even had to have a portion of his lung removed. Boucher pled guilty to assaulting a member of Congress.

Here’s a sample of some of the comments including from washed-up 80s singer Richard Marx.

Encouraging violence against Paul is just despicable and all the people who took this tack should be ashamed of themselves. If they had consciences, which I doubt.

So what happened after people cheered on violence against Paul over the weekend?

Paul was sent a suspicious package containing white powder today. It’s currently being investigated by the authorities including the FBI and the Capitol Police to determine if it’s a harmful substance, according to a senior advisor to Paul.

“I take these threats immensely seriously,” Paul said in a statement. “As a repeated target of violence, it is reprehensible that Twitter allows C-list celebrities to encourage violence against me and my family. Just this weekend Richard Marx called for violence against me and now we receive this powder filled letter.”

Last year, Christine Pelosi, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s daughter, also encouraged violence against Paul, saying that his neighbor was “right.” Twitter did suspend her then, although it hasn’t taken action against the many people who referenced Paul’s neighbor this weekend.

Rand Paul knows what it’s like to be attacked or threatened by folks on the left. Not only was he attacked by his neighbor, but he was also one of the people shot at by a Bernie Bro during the attack on the GOP baseball practice. On top of that, he was also pushed around and threatened last year by a BLM crowd over the summer. He certainly seems to be a lightning rod for leftist hate.
