Joe Biden and the Democrats perpetrated a lie about the new Georgia election law.
Biden literally compared it to “Jim Crow,” calling it “Jim Crow on steroids,” and saying he supported Major League Baseball pulling the All-Star Game out of the state.
Exactly who does that hurt? The people of Georgia, including many black people, who are now out $100 million in income which they would have made from all the business associated with the game. Thanks, Democrats, it’s all on you.
Now the Democrats’ lies and stupidity are hitting the state again.
Will Smith just announced that he’s moving his upcoming movie, “Emancipation,” that was to film in Georgia to Louisiana.
Will Smith's upcoming film 'Emancipation,' directed by Antoine Fuqua, will no longer be filming in Georgia due to the state's new voter law that many say will drastically affect Black voters. pic.twitter.com/8mzzYSFUBN

‘At this moment in time, the Nation is coming to terms with its history and is attempting to eliminate vestiges of institutional racism to achieve true racial justice,’ Smith and Fuqua said together in a release regarding the change of location.

‘We cannot in good conscience provide economic support to a government that enacts regressive voting laws that are designed to restrict voter access…

…The new Georgia voting laws are reminiscent of voting impediments that were passed at the end of Reconstruction to prevent many Americans from voting. Regrettably, we feel compelled to move our film production work from Georgia to another state.’

The film is expected to relocate to Louisiana, which will reportedly cost the production about $15 million. The film is based on the true story of an enslaved person named Peter who escapes a plantation in the South, eventually becoming a soldier in the Union Army.

So pull it out and cost more black folks jobs? How does that make even the least amount of sense? Not to mention it’s all based on a lie. How is expanding early voting days depriving people of voting? Comparing any of this to trying to deny black people the right to vote is shameful and a diminishment of what actually happened in history. It’s just despicable.
As our Townhall friend Guy Benson observed, the irony in all this is that the laws in Louisiana are more restrictive than Georgia. Georgia is more open than Louisiana and has more voting opportunities.
The filming is being moved to Louisiana, which requires voter ID, has fewer days of early voting, and does not allow no-excuse absentee voting — ie more restrictive than Georgia. Take a bow, Apple, Will Smith & Georgia Democrats!
