How long has it been since January 20?
A bit under three months. Frankly, it feels like a lifetime, when it comes to all the things that Joe Biden has been able to screw up in such a short period of time.
The NY Post’s Michael Goodwin listed some of the lowlights in a great piece Saturday. If it ain’t broke… no worries, Joe Biden will break it for you.
Biden created a crisis at the border after President Donald Trump had fixed it through almost sheer force of will, despite Democrats trying to check him at every turn. Trump’s ability to make a deal with Mexico to essentially become the wall, in addition to building more wall on our border, was astounding. But Biden deliberately undid that achievement, creating a humanitarian and public safety crisis, Goodwin observes, because he stopped the wall, did away with the ‘Remain in Mexico’ policy and said no unaccompanied minor would be blocked from entry.
A 10-year-old Nicaraguan boy, crying and cold, was found wandering alone near the border in Texas, abandoned by human-trafficking “coyotes.” A video captured heartless fiends dropping two toddler girls off 14-foot fences into the US, where border guards rescued them.
Forbes reports that officials caught 172,000 migrants at the border last month, a 71 percent increase from February. Reports say as many as 1,000 others escape capture and enter illegally every day.
It’s also costing us $60 million a week, Goodwin points out, but Roberta Jacobson, the border czar, said they’re working toward “an immigration system that is humane, orderly and safe.” Of course, she’s quitting at the end of the month, something the New York Times called “striking.”
Kamala Harris, whom Biden tasked to do something, appears to have done a whole lot of nothing. But she did manage to score some baked goods in Chicago. She hasn’t been anywhere near the border.
Goodwin also said Biden seems set on undoing the the Arab-Israeli alliance, noting Biden restored hundreds of millions of dollars in annual subsidies to the Palestinians that Trump canceled. Biden also took forever to call Benjamin Netanyahu after Jan. 20. He’s already talking about dropping sanctions against Iran, not even based upon any positive actions on their part. What was their reaction? To say we must get rid of all sanctions first before they will talk about restarting the Iran Nuclear Deal. It’s insane. They need the sanctions off and the deal, we don’t, and they have no intention of keeping any deal. Yet Biden acts like they have us over a barrel.
Then there’s the Senate filibuster and the Democrats’ desire to pack the Supreme Court. Goodwin recalls how Biden has previously defended the filibuster that he now calls “Jim Crow.” Goodwin observes that even Sen. Mitt Romney (R-UT), the squish from Utah who seems to have never met a Democratic agenda item on which he wouldn’t cave, has a problem with this.
My Democrat friends decry the last president for weakening our institutions with his words and behavior but they now cheer the effort to pack the Supreme Court and end the Senate filibuster, which would forever diminish institutions at our Republic’s foundation.

“My Democrat friends decry the last president for weakening our institutions with his words and behavior but they now cheer the effort to pack the Supreme Court and end the Senate filibuster, which would forever diminish institutions at our Republic’s foundation,” Romney wrote on Twitter.
As I previously wrote, even Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg was against court packing because she didn’t want to see the court politicized further. Heck, as I noted in the same piece, Joe Biden has spoken out against it for years, saying that doing so would be an egregious power grab. Yet, here we are on the edge of that power grab. If he does that, then he may indeed be able to decree any executive order which might then be upheld by a compliant and packed Supreme Court.
Kevin McCullough synopsized it in a Townhall piece, “Why Biden is Erasing America .”
He’s attempting to undo American accountability in elections through his support of HR1. He’s attempting to undo our economic foundations with massive printing (read that: devaluing) of our currency. He’s attempting to destroy free enterprise and job growth with coming massive tax increases. He’s attempting to take away individual liberties with proposed mask mandates, and desired lockdowns.
He supports any attempt to end the Senate filibuster—in order to push through horrific laws by the thinnest margins ever attempted. He’s attempting to overwhelm our security at our borders by encouraging 100’s of 1000’s of unverifiable persons of unknown origins to cross our borders without scrutiny nor penalty. He wants the police weakened. He is pledging to take guns away from law abiding owners. And he wants to pervert the justice system so dramatically that the Constitution becomes unrecognizable.
Biden and Democrats are trying any and all political maneuvers now to consolidate their power and block out Republicans in the future, and that’s what this is all about. Any prior position Biden held is being thrown under the bus for that agenda. He’s done a lot in three months. All bad, and he’s aiming for more.
