Tucker Brings Straight Fire and Truth in Response to DOD's Unprecedented Political Attack

Tucker raised a question about why Joe Biden was focusing military time on things such as maternity flight suits and updated hairstyle requirements instead of being focused more on threats, military and otherwise, being posed right now from China.

Seemingly pretty valid concerns. But even if you didn’t think so, something to be responded to, if at all, by the political wing of the Biden team.

But instead, the Department of Defense, the folks who aren’t supposed to be political or taking a side, responded, showing exactly how right he was in terms of their focus.

They apparently authorized members to respond on Twitter and on video, even in uniform, in an unprecedented and unprofessional attack on a talk show host, acting as though he had come out against women in the military which he had not.

On top of their members’ remarks, they printed this article on their website that could have come from Buzzfeed with its title.

“Smiting” and “dissing?” This is actually a military site? Yes, unfortunately, it is. They put Tucker in with China and were more attacking him than they were China.

From Townhall:

Kirby said the military won’t be taking “personnel advice” from someone like Carlson or the Chinese military. “Maybe those folks feel like they have something to prove — that’s on them. We know we’re the greatest military in the world today and even for all the things we need to improve, we know exactly why that’s so.”

Since when does the DOD get in a political fight with a talk show host? This was a truly unprofessional response, not to mention an out-and-out mischaracterization of what he said, suggesting that he was against women in the military.

So last night Tucker responded.

From Daily Caller:

“The rest of us depend on the U.S. military to protect our families and to protect the country itself,” Carlson said. “Joe Biden doesn’t see it that way. Finding the most effective military pilots or infantry officers or SEAL teams is not his priority, it’s not even close to his priority.”

“Identity politics is Joe Biden’s priority, it’s all that matters. You see this attitude throughout the U.S. government as well as in the corporate world. Key positions filled on the basis of physical appearance without any reference to ability or experience. You can get by with that if you’re Citibank, which now cares more about wokeness than about banking … It is not fine if your only job is to protect the United States from people who want to kill the rest of us. That is the worst kind of dereliction of duty,” he continued.

He continued how the military which was supposed to be a meritocracy and about winning wars. But instead, it was being politicized with both Republicans and Democrats saying nothing against it — that Democrats like Tammy Duckworth are saying it’s “unpatriotic” to question the Pentagon and that he shouldn’t be talking if he hasn’t served.

“They’re not making a real argument, they’re trying to silence dissent. Not playing along, sorry. Every American citizen has a right, maybe an obligation, to know what the military they pay for is doing.”

But then he got down to it, saying the DOD made a large coordinated effort to send out people against him with statements and videos, even people commenting in uniform. But he said it wasn’t about him, it was about are they going to be political or are they going to be able to ready to respond if need be when China makes its moves?

China now has the largest navy on the planet. Why do they have that? Why did they feel the need to build it? Does that have potential consequences for us? Yes.

If China moved against Taiwan, how would we respond? More likely, if the Chinese decided to close international shipping lanes, it would cripple our economy. If they decided to shut down our internet, it would bring our life to a halt. If they decided to occupy Malaysia, that would be a grave concern to the world. If any of these things, or 100 other things that might take place, actually happen, what exactly would our Pentagon do about it?

That’s the only question that matters. When they are so controlled by the politicians that they are focused on hairstyles, maternity flight suits, and fighting with talk show hosts, there’s a serious problem here. And when the military is trying to silence dissent or questions, that’s an even bigger problem, it’s authorizing these political and unprecedented moves. If Americans aren’t calling this out and seeing the problem here, we are cooked.
