My colleague Sister Toldjah reported on the hilarious mistake that Senator Chuck Schumer (D-NY) when talking about the impeachment trial.

“Make no mistake, there will be a trial, and when that trial ends, senators will have to decide if they believe Donald John Trump incited the erection….insurrection against the United States,” Schumer said.
Whoops. Guess you know where Schumer’s mind was.
The impeachment is a ridiculous effort to stop President Donald Trump from running again in 2024 and they’re doing all they can to stack the deck to make that happen, as we reported earlier.
It’s still an uphill climb for the Democrats, however, given that they need 2/3 vote to get a conviction, so they need 17 Republicans to flip. That’s unlikely to happen given the evidence is against it and the proceeding is likely, to start with, unconstitutional.
But never forget the Democrats always seem to have media on their side to help spin their cause, even when they slip up.
On Sunday, ABC’s This Week with George Stephanopoulos ran a clip of the comments. But instead of what Schumer actually said, ABC had completely removed “erection,” completely changing reality and cleaning up his mistake.

“Senators will have to decide if they believe Donald John Trump incited the insurrection,” ABC had Schumer say.
Nice to know that now our media overlords are simply going full Stalin and change the facts to something they like better when they feel like it. So much for unbiased reporting of what actually happened. And they wonder why people don’t trust the media.
If Sen. Mitch McConnell (R-KY) had said it, you know it would be all over the media and being made fun of by liberal comedians.
So what’s the difference here, ABC? Kind of makes you wonder what else they’ve been clipping out and changing when they do something so boldly on a clip already shared by millions.

Does @ABC not understand this gives one more reason for people to not trust the media? If you edit mistakes, to make a politician look good then what is next? @wapo erased comments to help Harris. Is all journalistic integrity gone because you believe the ends justify the means?
