Remember how Democrats suddenly seemed to have discovered the value of the police and the military with the National Guard coming in to help out with security at the Capitol?

It’s turns out that embrace and respect was short-lived. Just about until Joe Biden got in.
Now according to a Politico story, the Guard is saying that they’ve been thrown out of the Capitol buildings where they had been staying while resting and basically told go find somewhere else to rest, outside or in nearby garages, including one garage that had just one electrical outlet, and one bathroom with two stalls for 5,000 troops.
One Guardsmen described the situation.
“Yesterday dozens of senators and congressmen walked down our lines taking photos, shaking our hands and thanking us for our service. Within 24 hours, they had no further use for us and banished us to the corner of a parking garage. We feel incredibly betrayed,” the Guardsman said.
They’re all packed together, forced to sleep during their rest periods on the ground in the garage. Now, military are hearty and have all kinds of billets. But there’s no necessity to do this. So why is this happening?
MILITARY SOURCE IN DC:
“For the last week my battalion has been sleeping on the floor in the Senate cafeteria. Today the Senate kicked us out & moved us to a cold parking garage.
5000 soldiers.
1 power outlet.
One bathroom.
This is how Joe Biden’s America treats solders.”PHOTOS pic.twitter.com/622sQmciq4

The Guardsmen that they spoke with said they didn’t know why they were tossed out of the Senate building where they had been and they were particularly concerned about being packed in tight quarters with only one bathroom because of the virus.
It was not a Guard decision, apparently the move came from the Capitol Police who indicated it was because of the increased foot traffic of Congress being in session. “They were temporarily relocated to the Thurgood Marshall Judicial Center garage with heat and restroom facilities,” the Capitol Police said. One bathroom for 5000 men isn’t acceptable.
Two nights ago, my wife and I prepared chili for over 100 National Guard and Capitol Police. Tonight our troops have been relegated to the gutter of The People’s House… I am sickened. https://t.co/xuLEgD7jOi

Why are the powers that be even still keep the Guard there? They were there apparently as a show of power for the inauguration. That’s over. So why are they keeping them there? Do the Democrats intend to permanently lock down our Capitol and misuse these men in the meantime?
So did the powers that be really just use the national guard as a photo op show of strength only to shove them out onto parking garage concrete on a 38 degree night?

Yes, that’s exactly what they did.
House Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) and Rep. Elise Stefanik (R-NY) demanded answers from House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA).
Every member of Congress should be appalled by this despicable treatment of the men and women of the National Guard, who answered the call to protect our nation’s capital.
Speaker Pelosi is in charge of the Capitol complex. She must provide answers immediately. https://t.co/kUlKUaMhuc

Speaker Pelosi and Majority Leader Schumer—why are American troops who are tasked with keeping security at the Capitol being forced to sleep in a parking lot?
They deserve to be treated with respect, and we deserve answers. pic.twitter.com/J0R2dRC8bM

Several members of Congress offered up their offices for the men to sleep.
Simply unacceptable. You’re always welcome in my office. As a former Iowa National Guard member, I know how hard it is to wear those boots. Thank you for your service everyday. https://t.co/WNjSEsQUMV

My office is available; the Guard is welcome to it. There is plenty of space in the US Capitol for the men and women keeping us safe. https://t.co/YAUMnRdOrt
