Remember when Attorney General Bill Barr said that there was Antifa as well as “foreign actors” exacerbating the violence.

We’ve written about the possibility of Russian or Chinese actors.

But those aren’t he only foreign actors who wish us ill.

There are those radical Islamic terrorist types.

On Saturday, NYPD was reporting about a man who was accused of stabbing one cop while shooting two others and screaming “Allahu Akbar!” three times during the unprovoked attack on the cops.

From NY Post:

Authorities have so far been unable to tie the man, Dzenan Camovic, to any organized terror group, but there are indications that his alleged tactics and ambush were similar to anti-police attacks in Paris and elsewhere, according to John Miller, the NYPD’s deputy commissioner of counter terrorism.

“All the hallmarks that would be out of the terrorist playbook,” Miller said at a briefing from NYPD headquarters in lower Manhattan

Camovic, 20, opened a Twitter account this month, and liked 24 tweets from those writing about George Floyd protests, looting in Soho and anti-cop propaganda, police said.

On Wednesday night, Camovic ran up to a cop and stabbed him in the neck in Brooklyn. He then grabbed his gun and shot two other officers in the hand. He was then shot by another officer responding to the scene.

His family who is from Bosnia had a relative tell the Post that while he’s a practicing Muslim, he’s “absolutely not a terrorist.”

NBC had a somewhat different take on it.

Didn’t sound like Miller was at all confused about “ideologies” in the NY Post account.

Some folks poo pooed the comment, thinking how is the motive not obvious?

But putting the two reports together, I suspect that means is that they’re looking at the possibility of a dual motive – both the protests based on his “likes” and just straight up radical terrorism.
