Presumptive Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden actually did a real interview in person today with CNN’s Dana Bash.
This followed Joe coming up from the basement for the first time yesterday for Memorial Day. His last public appearance was March 10.
Biden attacked President Donald Trump over his response to the pandemic, saying he could have saved lives had he responded a week earlier. But indeed it’s Biden who attacked Trump for his response at the time, suggesting that travel restrictions were unnecessary. Indeed, he didn’t publicly endorse Trump’s China travel restrictions until April. Imagine if we had waited that long to cut travel with China. Biden’s coronavirus adviser, Ron Klain, was more concerned about the “fear epidemic” and encouraged people to get out and go to Chinatown in February. If Biden were in charge, travel wouldn’t have been restricted, no one would be trying to hold China or WHO to account, he wouldn’t be doing the same coordination with private industry, thousands more would likely be dead.
During the interview, Biden attacked President Donald Trump for not wearing a mask outdoors, a patently ridiculous thing since the president is regularly tested, doesn’t have the virus and was social distancing.
Meanwhile he couldn’t even get the social distancing criteria right. Here he is saying it’s 12 feet rather than the correct number of 6 feet.
Bash said some thought maybe he shouldn’t be apologizing for things. Biden said if the mistakes weren’t of consequence then he wouldn’t. “Well, Joe said there were 3 rungs on that fence. Well no, there were 2 rungs on that fence. I’m not going to apologize for that.” Fences don’t have rungs, Joe, ladders have rungs.
The sorry state of Joe Biden's defense of his repeated blunders campaigning.

He then claimed that Trump looks like a fellow who’s having trouble controlling his own emotions.
Really? Let’s reflect on who has issues controlling himself.

Naturally, Bash doesn’t call him out on that. But it pretty much sums up their strategy and they don’t care, as long as they think it helps their cause. They’re basically admitting he’s so deficient they need to keep him under wraps.
So is anyone going to put that to the test and call him out on that? So when are we getting to the live debates, let’s put him to the test, let’s put him in real debate without softball questions or a compliant interviewer.
