Former House Intel Chair Trey Gowdy sat down with Sean Hannity on Monday and they dealt with the latest Russia hoax claims and how to deal with the issue of leaking from the House Intelligence Committee run by Rep. Adam Schiff (D-CA).

Gowdy noted how the report that Russia might be interfering in the 2020 election on behalf of President Donald Trump was exploded within two minutes when Republicans started asking questions of the briefer and found out there was no intelligence to support the claim.

“Yeah, Sean, we spent … at least two years for [Special Counsel Robert] Mueller to tell us there was no evidence of collusion. It took two minutes this time to for us to find out there was no evidence. As soon as a Republican asked the briefer in a classified intel briefing ‘what evidence do you have to support that assessment?’ The answer was none.” [….]

We were lectured by the D.C. media and the Democrats that ‘No one is above the law.’ Remember that, Sean? How many times have we heard ‘no one is above the law?’ Apparently except whoever leaked classified information from [Democratic California Rep.] Adam Schiff’s [intelligence] committee.”

Exactly. This happens over and over again, so how can we stop this and is anyone ever going to be held to account?

“What the Intelligence Committee [sic, he meant Intelligence Community] needs to give some thought to is to stop briefing someone who has a history and is an epidemic leaker. Quit briefing him,” Gowdy said.

Hannity asked if Schiff would be held accountable for lying to the American people and Gowdy advised him that isn’t a crime, although it is a crime to lie to the Congress. “Unfortunately, Sean, it is not against the law to lie to the American people. There should be a consequence and I hope people in the People’s Republic of California will remember it come November,” Gowdy replied.

It’s California. They keep electing these con artists over and over again. They don’t care that he lied to them and has continued to lie to them.

Schiff of course immediacy weaponized the recent Russia story and used it to stoke the Russia hoax claims again.

If the IC stops briefing the ‘epidemic leaker,’ that might solve the leaks but then that creates another problem if he’s the head of the House Intel Committee. This is how Democrats are endangering national security. What needs to happen is Schiff needs to be removed as the head and the only way that’s going to happen is a change in the House and/or being investigated.
