Sounds like members of the House have had enough of House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) and her antics.

After she disgracefully ripped up President Donald Trump’s State of the Union address on Tuesday night, the honored Americans in the gallery were heartbroken that she would do such a thing to a record of their stories. Her actions enraged Americans watching at home, including many Democrats who actually called into C-Span and said that they would “never vote Democrat again” after her actions and the disrespectful actions of her Democratic colleagues, walking out or not clapping.

Multiple members of the House indicated on Wednesday that they were taking action against House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) for ripping up the speech.

Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-FL) said he would be filing an ethics complaint against her.

“Her conduct was beneath the dignity of the House, and a potential violation of law (18 USC 2071),” Gaetz wrote to the House Ethics Committee Chair Ted Deutch (D-FL). That provision prohibits the destruction of an official record over which you have custody. Gaetz called Pelosi’s actions a “flagrant violation of decorum” defined by the House rules. He pointed out that she was not only dismissive of the President but more importantly of the American people with her act. He even called for a criminal referral for her alleged violation of the law. “Nobody is above the law. She must be held accountable.”

Gaetz was joined by others with the same idea including Rep. Kay Granger (R-TX) and Rep. Paul Gosar (R-AZ).

Granger reminded Pelosi that she’s not the “Speaker of the Democrats” but “of the People’s House.”

“Speaker Pelosi’s actions last night were appalling and shameful,” Granger said in a statement. “Regardless of her personal feelings, she had a responsibility to conduct herself with civility as the presiding officer representing the House of Representatives. She is not the Speaker of the Democrats, but of the People’s House.”

“Not only were her actions disrespectful of the Office of the President and the millions of Americans who elected President Trump, they were a slap in the face to the American heroes and their families he honored in his address,” Granger continued. “The privileged resolution was introduced under Rule 9 of the standing rules of the House. It is expected that the House will vote on the resolution later this week.”

Gosar said she violated the rules because she failed to “behave at all times in a manner that shall reflect creditably on the House.”

Well-deserved, on video, no way around it.

While you’re at it, file one on Rep. Adam Schiff (D-CA) for his multiple lies during impeachment.

It would be suitable justice if they were censured while Trump was acquitted.
