Ted Cruz Puts Schiff on the Spot, Grills Him With Questions About the Whistleblower

At the end of all this, someone really needs to take House Intel Chair Adam Schiff (D-CA) to the woodshed with a motion to censure him for all the ways in which he has lied and abused the impeachment process.

He was at it again on Wednesday, denying categorically that he’d had any contact in any way with the whistleblower and obviously lied saying he didn’t know who the whistleblower was. The whistleblower has been reported to be Eric Ciaramella. Schiff has previously been given four Pinocchios for his false claims about contact with the whistleblower by the Washington Post.

But Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) wasn’t having any of Schiff’s game and laid into him with the questions that we have all wanted to ask him about the whistleblower.

According to the Washington Examiner:

Michael Atkinson, the Intelligence Community’s inspector general, told members of Congress that the whistleblower had a “professional tie” to a 2020 Democratic candidate. He had written earlier that while the whistleblower’s complaint was credible, he had shown “some indicia of an arguable political bias … in favor of a rival political candidate.”

A retired CIA officer told the Washington Examiner, “From everything we know about the whistleblower and his work in the executive branch then, there is absolutely no doubt he would have been working with Biden when he was vice president.”

As an experienced CIA official on the NSC with the deep knowledge of Ukraine that he demonstrated in his complaint, it is probable that the whistleblower briefed Biden and likely that he accompanied him on Air Force Two during at least one of the six visits the 2020 candidate made to the country.

Atkinson is the 18th witness who Schiff conveniently has failed to talk about during the trial and he’s refused to turn over the transcript of Atkinson’s testimony during which Atkinson alleged talked about this. If this were a real trial Schiff would be in real trouble for failing to turn over exculpatory evidence which he would be required to provide. Why has he not turned it over? As we can see, likely because it answers Cruz’s questions.

Schiff’s response? He dodged and danced, saying he didn’t even know who the whistleblower was. This despite receiving a letter, likely with the complaint in from the whistleblower in August of last year and his staff member meeting with the whistleblower before he filed the complaint.

Remember how he stopped Alexander Vindman from naming the second person to whom he talked so that wouldn’t expose the whistleblower? How could he do that if he didn’t know who he was?

So basically, by avoiding Cruz’s question and refusing to answer it, Schiff confirmed it and confirmed this was all a sham.
