The 2020 campaign season seems like it’s already been going on forever. We’ve been treated to a slew of videos from Democratic 2020 candidates giving us an alleged “window” into their private lives.

From Beto O’Rourke visiting the dentist to Elizabeth Warren trying to appear down to earth with a beer, the videos can almost always be summarized up in one word: cringe.

But one politician who seems to have gotten the concept of a personal video down right is Republican Rep. Dan Crenshaw (R-TX) and it’s really funny.

Houston Texans defensive end J.J. Watt is renown for his charitable efforts to help people, in addition to his play. He posted a video saying he spoke with a friend about some of the negative things about social media. Watt said he decided he wanted to use social media to do something positive, to have positive interaction with the fans. So he invited people to text him and he’d see if he could text them back.

For fans, that’s a pretty cool idea.

As Texan Dan Crenshaw thought.

So he tried to text him. But you know it wasn’t really that important to him for JJ Watt to text him back.

Now that’s hilarious. Even Verizon loved it.

And Watt has responded back to people’s texts.

He even texted back a student from Ohio.

But so far, no luck for Crenshaw.

People have even interceded on his behalf, pleading his case.

But so far, no luck. We’ll update if we hear.

So JJ, what about it? Are you going to leave Dan hanging?
