Like most of us, Nikki Haley is lucky to be alive today. Had she been born 60 years earlier, she’d have had few civil rights, stuck under one-party Democratic Party rule enforcing a racist system of tyranny. Had she been born 150 years earlier, she might have had none at all, under one-party Democratic Party rule enforcing a racist system of chattel slavery.

Yesterday she called upon the state legislature to remove from the state capitol grounds, the battle flag of that racist system. I’m with her.

If it were up to me, we wouldn’t have had this fight. Of course, if it were up to me, we wouldn’t be worried about Sharia Law, either. But the history of the Confederacy, like the history of Islam, is full of great evils committed against innocent men, women, and children, and to this day, there are evil men and women who seek to continue those crimes against humanity.

Thanks to the tenacity of men pictured in George P. A. Healy’s The Peacemakers (President Abraham Lincoln, General William T. Sherman, General Ulysses S. Grant, and Admiral David D. Porter) we broke the back of the wicked Confederate system, and tore it down for good.

I know it’s gone. You know it’s gone. Governor Nikki Haley and Senator Tim Scott for sure know it’s gone. But certain terrorists don’t know it’s gone. So in a defiant stand against terror, Governor Haley wants to take the flag down. I support this.

The war is over. Those men won it for liberty against tyranny. It’s time the flag came down. It’s time we sent the terrorists a message that we’re not going to tolerate their evil anymore.
