Unite Here has discovered the indifference of Barack Obama:

A national union that represents 300,000 low-wage hospitality workers charges in a new report that Obamacare will slam wages, cut hours, limit access to health insurance and worsen the very “income equality” President Obama says he is campaigning to fix.

Unite Here warned that due to Obamacare’s much higher costs for health insurance than what union workers currently pay, the result will be a pay cut of up to $5 an hour. “If employers follow the incentives in the law, they will push families onto the exchanges to buy coverage. This will force low-wage service industry employees to spend $2.00, $3.00 or even $5.00 an hour of their pay to buy similar coverage,” said the union in a new report.

I have a free tip for Unite Here: don’t brag about the fact that your union was the first one to endorse Barack Obama for President (like they did, later in the article). It doesn’t have the rhetorical effect that was apparently expected. And it certainly doesn’t encourage the GOP to care about your troubles…

PS: I do have quite a bit of sympathy for the actual low-wage workers who are going to get hammered by this; but I have to note something. This Donald ‘D’ Taylor fellow that’s pounding on the table so about how his workers are being worked over: he himself makes over $175K a year. Sounds like Taylor has made out pretty darn well by the Democrats taking over Congress, huh? Regular working men and women, not so much.

But don’t mind the bloated plutocrat. One whose household doesn’t make nearly as much money as that stalwart Servant of the People D Taylor, but apparently being a reliable Democrat makes up for all sins…
