As near as I, JMF, and/or Glenn Reynolds can tell, she pretty much snapped like a stressed rubber band:
Boise Police arrested Cynthia Clinkingbeard, 58, Boise, on Friday after she reportedly walked into a store at Eagle Road and Chinden Boulevard and threatened employees with a gun.
The website of the Idaho Secretary of State lists Clinkingbeard as a Democratic candidate in the May 15 primary race for the First District congressional seat.
One of two Democrats, actually: and while Clinkingbeard was being treated as a serious candidate prior to her pulling a gun… well, this is what you get when you check out her site, so you tell me what her current status is.
We will now pause while the Online Left explains to us why it’s unfair to bring up the fact that one of their declared candidates for Congress was brought in Friday for menacing people with firearms. No, really, it’s marvelous fun to watch them try to explain this stuff away – and with a straight face, no less! It’s uncanny how those people can manage that; sometimes I feel an almost irresistible urge to check them for lobotomy scars.

PS: On the bright side – aside from the fact that nobody got hurt, and that Ms. Clinkingbeard is probably going to get herself a bit of mental health care now – there’s this: we now have a very useful baseline for just who are and who are not the dangerous extremists in the ID-01 race. Spoiler warning: they’ll be the ones not pointing guns at people.
PPS: If you think that this was disrespectful, trust me: I could be worse. Much worse.
