To be sure, the following kind of story is all too common in today's world of out-of-control hypocrisy on the Left. Toss in the smug duplicity in many of America's public school systems, and it's off the charts.
As my colleague Sister Toldjah reported in late January, a teacher at West Chicago’s Gary Elementary School posted a two-word message in support of ICE (Immigration and Customs Enforcement) on Facebook. Unsurprisingly, shortly after the message was posted, activists in the predominantly Hispanic community began sharing it and calling for action to be taken against the teacher — due to "safety concerns," no less.
The teacher's *transgression*? The post read simply: "GO ICE." Oh, the humanity!
The teacher was promptly put on administrative leave and faced a cacophony of calls that he be fired.

Welp, the Left got its wish.
As exclusively reported by Fox Digital on Sunday, the teacher, James Heidorn, spoke with the outlet about the emotional and financial distress he suffered after finally resigning:
This process has been professionally and personally devastating and surreal. I’ve spent 14 years building my career, pouring my heart into teaching kids, building relationships and being a positive role model. To see it all upended over two simple words, ‘Go ICE,’ where I expressed my personal support for law enforcement felt like a severe blow to my career.
Unfortunately, of course it was a severe blow to Heidorn's career — particularly if he wants to remain a teacher in the public education system.
FIRST ON FOX: A Chicago-area teacher who says he was forced to resign after posting “Go ICE” on Facebook is now speaking out about the emotional and financial hardship he says the controversy has caused.

In addition to Heidorn being forced to resign, he also suffered the predictable — and vile — personal attacks on social media, all for the unforgivable sin of supporting federal agents legally doing their assigned jobs of rounding up illegal aliens. Below are a couple of sick examples (profanity alert):
“Imagine working as a teacher in an elementary school in West Chicago where the Latino community is highly populated and promoting ICE, sick AF,” one social media post said.
Another commenter called the teacher a “f****** piece of s***.”
The Left are such pleasant people, aren't people, aren't they?

So here's the thing.
Raise your hand if you think any number of public school teachers have participated in the in-your-face, often confrontational, protests against ICE.
Now raise your hand if you believe school administrators of any of the above *hypothetical* protesting teachers were fully aware of their participation.
Finally, raise your hand if you think any of these people were forced to resign for protesting.
Case made.
Here's a bit more:
Activists began circulating a flyer online, with a Change.org petition, calling for the employee’s job and for students to stay home from school in protest, saying, “the casual way in which he publicly promoted the actions of ICE in our area is inappropriate and unsuitable for an educator.”
“The best way to show our district that we need action to be taken – is to show them that keeping this teacher will disrupt the emotional welfare and therefore, the education of our students,” the flyer said.
As I suggested at the top, stories like this are all too common, and unless crackdowns continue, I suspect their behavior will only worsen.
Note: ICE and CBP continue to put themselves in harm's way in order to protect America’s sovereignty and to keep our streets safe.
