So what can be said about the current version of California Democrat Gov. Gavin Newsom?
A helluva lot, but we'll get to Newsom in a minute.
Meanwhile, actor James Woods, who some of us have referred to through the years as "Twitter Boss" for years — due to his effortless ability to destroy left-wingers on social media — blasted the bejesus out of Newsom on Sunday, predicting the narcissistic governor's 2028 presidential aspirations will go down in flames, in large part due to his "atrocious" record in the no-longer-Golden State.
Oh, and Woods also appropriately called Newsom (read: "Gov. Hair Gel") a "slick grifter."
Meanwhile, Newsom continues to flip-flop on issues — that is, unless he's ridiculously trying to reach across the aisle without ticking off his left-wing base.
While Newsom claims otherwise, he has a long history of changing positions when the political winds shift, from high‑speed rail to single‑payer and sanctuary policies, with even Democrats accusing him years ago of “snake oil” messaging tailored to whatever group he's pandering to at the moment.
Woods Tees Off on Newsom on Fox Nation
During a Sunday appearance on Fox Nation show One Nation with Brian Kilmeade, Woods, who is rumored to have a genius-level IQ, teed off not only on Newsom but also on the Democrat Party's presidential prospects in 2028:
They have no leader. I mean, Kamala Harris, AOC, all these people, they’re — I hate to use the expression, because it’s used so often, but they’re a clown show, and nature abhors a vacuum.
This slick grifter, Gavin Newsom, whose record is atrocious, but people don’t pay a lot of attention to that fact. He’s filling in the slot, basically. But, as fruit farmers always say, early ripe, early rotten.
As a Baptist preacher might say, can I get an Amen?!

Woods cited Newsom's leadership failures:
One of the most beautiful cities in the history of this nation, San Francisco, had to have the notorious poop map, so that tourists would not find themselves wading through human waste and used heroin needles as they walked the streets of this once-beautiful city, because this man couldn’t find a way to stop that from happening.
The veteran actor also told Kilmeade that California’s leadership tolerated worsening street conditions “unless a foreign leader was coming,” but wouldn’t clean up for “our tax-paying, hard-working citizens.”
Again, spot on.
Let's be honest — Gavin Newsom is all about Gavin Newsom. You can see in his eyes, the way he moves, and of course, in his bizarre hand movements as he talks. Put simply, the guy is not only the president of his own fan club; I'd place a wager that he loves himself far more than he loves California — or anyone beyond the love and admiration he has for himself.
Do better, Democrats.
Wait — on the other hand — how fun would it be watching Newsom duke it out in primary debates with the likes of Kamala Harris, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, Cory Booker, Pete Buttigieg, Gretchen Whitmer, and/or whoever else decides to toss their hat in the Democrat ring.
Truth is, at this point, at least, the Democrats got nothin' in 2020, as James Wood opined to Kilmeade, although Gavin Newsom would beg to differ.
