Oh Noes! Portland Loons to Roll Out 'Emergency' Naked Bike Ride to Protest ICE, National Guard 'Invasion'

If this ridiculous story doesn't encapsulate virtually everything wrong with the radical left, I'm not sure what would. Just as ridiculous, "BikePortland" ran the story under the headline, "Naked bike ride to protest Trump’s invasion set for Sunday."

That's right, normal people.

Left-wing activists are set to parade naked on bicycles through [The People's Republic of] Portland this Sunday, October 12, in what they’re billing as a protest against President Donald Trump’s “illegal invasion” of the city that was once a symbol of pride — no pun intended.

We'll jump to legitimate reporting of the ridiculous event, but first, here's how BikePortland reported the coming extravaganza:

The “Emergency World Naked Bike Ride” is being organized by the group that created a second naked bike ride in 2024 when Portland’s original version took the year off. The two rides have very similar names (World Naked Bike Ride Portland and Portland World Naked Bike Ride) which has caused some confusion. The riding club behind the ride, Naked Hearts PDX, has led hundreds of group rides and is known for the heart-shaped speaker box and sound system pulled behind a cargo trailer.

“We ride to protest the militarization of our City,” organizers wrote on Instagram on Monday, adding:

This is a very peaceful form of protest. Joy is a form of protest. Being together with mutual respect and kindness is a form of protest… The vulnerability of bodies could not be more explicit than seeing our neighbors kidnapped off our streets while at the same time those who protest at the Ice Facility are dealing with being brutalized.

"Joy." The naiveté is almost cute, bless their indoctrinated little hearts.

Anyway, my left-wing friends, we're all too familiar with your "peaceful protests," stretching back to the death and destruction wrought by Black Lives Matter and Antifa following the death of George Floyd in Minneapolis, MN, so please. The rest of the above blockquote isn't worthy of commentary, so let's move on.

Over at USA Today, the headline reads: "Can a sea of naked people on bikes change Trump's mind on Portland, Oregon?" The answer, of course, is a resounding NO.

The outlet wrote:

The mobile demonstration comes after President Donald Trump announced the deployment of National Guard troops to Portland to protect Immigration and Customs Enforcement facilities, which have been the site of protests this year that have occasionally erupted into clashes between demonstrators and law enforcement.

While Trump has described the city on his social media platform as a "NEVER-ENDING DISASTER," state and local leaders have denounced the deployment, saying it’s unnecessary.

Of course they've denounced the deployment, and of course they say it's unnecessary. The problem is (for the city's left-wing government), the facts belie their lies.

AAG Harmeet Dhillon Announces Civil Rights Investigation Into Portland Police Bureau's Practices

Far-left Oregon Democrat Gov. Tina Kotek said of the goings-on in Portland:

There is no insurrection, there is no threat to national security, and there is no need for military troops in our major city.

Oregon and Portland officials this week filed a federal lawsuit against the Trump administration, calling the deployment "patently unlawful."

Why, that sounds just like the rantings of Illinois Gov. JB Pritzker while railing against the "unlawful and unwarranted" plans to deploy hundreds of armed military troops to out-of-control Chicago for the very same reason he's sending them to Portland.

Just one problem.

The Supremacy Clause in Article VI of the U.S. Constitution establishes that the Constitution, federal laws enacted under its authority, and U.S. treaties constitute the “Supreme Law of the Land,” meaning they override any conflicting state laws or constitutions.

Also known as the doctrine of federal preemption, the Supremacy Clause ensures that federal authority takes precedence and requires state judges to uphold federal law when the two conflict.

Anyway, let's hope the weather's not too nippy in Portland on Sunday for the naked bike ride. What a shame it would be if the loons weren't able to cause ICE agents and National Guard troops to shake in their boots with fear. Or disgust.

Note: The Schumer Shutdown is here. Rather than put the American people first, Chuck Schumer and the radical Democrats forced a government shutdown for healthcare for illegals. They own this.
