Seriously? Britain's National Health Service Pushes the 'Benefits' of First-Cousin Marriage

In this episode of "The United Kingdom Continues to Sink Deeper Into the Abyss"...

As if the goings-on in the once-great United Kingdom weren't already a dumpster fire, Britain's National Health Service (government health insurance) recently posted a report on an alleged study promoting the benefits of first-cousin marriage. (I'll give you a moment to read that, again — no doubt in disgust.)

I'd comment on centuries of inbreeding (consanguinity, as it were) in the UK, including King Henry VIII in 1540, changing the law to allow first-cousin marriage so he could marry Catherine Howard, but that would be a serious digression, so let's just get to the nitty-gritty.

Last week, NHS England's "Genomics Education Programme" actually published guidance that said first-cousin marriage is linked to “stronger extended family support systems and economic advantages.” They "forgot" to mention consanguinity doubles the risk of genetic defects.

Here's more, via The Telegraph, on Sunday:

Guidance published last week by the NHS England’s Genomics Education Programme says first-cousin marriage is linked to “stronger extended family support systems and economic advantages.”

But the practice has also been linked to oppression of women and also has a proven increased risk of genetic disease in offspring of first-cousin relationships.

Richard Holden, the Tory MP, told the Mail On Sunday: “Our NHS should stop taking the knee to damaging and oppressive cultural practices.

“The Conservatives want to see an end to cousin marriage as a backdoor to immigration too, but Labour are deaf to these sensible demands.

Sir Keir Starmer should stop running scared of the misogynistic community controllers and their quislings who appear in the form of cultural relativist-obsessed sociology professors, and ban a practice the overwhelming majority, from every community in Britain, want to see ended for good.”

Critics say the NHS is trying to appease the large number of Muslim migrants who have flooded the UK in recent years. 1.6 million Pakistanis lived in Great Britain as of 2021, or 2.2% of the population. Pakistanis have an insanely high rate of incest - a whopping 61% of all marriages are consanguineousThis has followed Pakistanis to the UK - 55% of all married Pakistanis in Great Britain are wed to their cousins.

In addition, a 2022 study found that while such unions produce just four percent of UK births, they account for 30 percent of birth defects. And a larger study in 2013 revealed that 37 percent of babies born with birth defects were from Pakistani first-cousin marriages — also 37 times the UK's national average.

But, hey — why let the dramatic increase in birth defects get in the way of one's beliefs?

Needless to say, the National Health Service's promotion of first-cousin marriage immediately faced a serious blowback on social media for prioritizing "cultural sensitivity" (pandering to Muslims) over significant health concerns, as America's "closest ally" intentionally continues to sink ever deeper into the abyss.

As reported by Fox News on Monday, the controversial report about the "study" had been removed by Monday morning. Fox News Digital couldn't gain direct access to the report, and "shockingly," the NHS did not immediately respond to the outlet's questions.
