A Fairfax County, Virginia, public school dismissed concerns from its female students about a male student with facial hair being allowed into their locker room — even after hearing credible accusations that the sophomore boy would just stand there and watch them change clothes, according to a civil rights complaint filed by one of the girls' parents.
What happened next is off-the-charts insane.
Instead of protecting the freshmen girls who spoke up, administrators allegedly ordered them to change faster to accommodate the so-called "trans" sophomore boy, raising the prospect of a Title IX violation.
The issue exploded on Sept. 2, when a 14-year-old girl saw a male sophomore with facial hair inside the girls' locker room prior to PE class at West Springfield High School, the complaint alleges.

For three weeks, Fairfax County Public Schools Superintendent Michelle Reid has kept quiet about a controversy brewing at West Springfield High School, where a boy with “facial hair” and pants so tight “they clearly outlined his genitalia” has self-identified as female and gained access to the girls’ locker room, watching girls change in “various stages of undress,” according to a complaint.
Weeks later, the Fairfax County Times has learned, Reid has closed the case as resolved after concluding the boy self-identifies as a girl and is, thus, “transgender” with the right to access the girls’ locker room. The girl’s mother, however, isn’t satisfied with the resolution and is pressing forward with a complaint.
Where to begin?
Virginia Republican Gov. Glenn Youngkin weighed in on the perverse case on Wednesday after lawyers for the girl’s mother filed a complaint with Fairfax County Public Schools (FCPS), saying in a post to X:
These radical gender policies are not just some abstract fight over politics - they are hurting real children in Fairfax County schools every day. We are working with the US Department of Education to reverse these policies and protect girls in our schools but every Virginia parent needs to understand this: [Virginia Republican gubernatorial candidate Winsome Earle-Sears] will fight with you, and [Virginia Democrat gubernatorial candidate Abigail Spanberger] will fight against you.
Is there any doubt?
Democrat politicians across America have adamantly championed so-called "transgender care," including the irreversible mutilation of children's bodies (mastectomies and castrations), so-called "trans" athletes — males pretending to be females beating the bejesus out of actual female athletes in female sporting event — and even placing tampons in boys' locker rooms (see: whacked-out Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz, Kamala Harris' vice presidential running mate in the 2024 presidential election).
As the father of a daughter who used to be 14, I can only imagine my reaction if my 14-year-old girl would've come home and told me a boy, older than her and with facial hair, came into the girls' locker at her school and stared at her while she changed clothes.
Even worse, if my daughter had complained to her school about the incident, and simply been told to just "dress faster" before the boy, who identifies as a girl, comes back into the locker room, I would have gone absolutely ballistic.
Incidentally, did I mention that the boy was "wearing pants that were so tight they clearly outlined his genitalia"?
Anyway, after the incident happened, the young girl immediately reported the incident to a teacher. The teacher told the girl that nothing could be done about boy's presence in the locker room, even though he was watching girls change.
Disturbed, the girl phoned her mother, who was then told by school officials that the boy had a right to use the girls’ locker room because he identifies as female.
Yeah, I had to read that twice to fully digest the disgust.
Obviously, the incident incensed the girl's mother, who has now submitted a complaint to U.S. Department of Education's Office for Civil Rights through her attorneys at the Defense of Freedom Institute.
The complaint outlines what happened when the mother tried to get help from school officials.
After her daughter’s distressed phone call, the mother phoned the West Springfield administrators’ office. A staff member told her “that an administrator would return the call and deal with the issue that afternoon.”
Guess what? The mother's call wasn't returned. Shocked? Me, neither.
Other girls and their parents also reportedly called the school about their concerns as the male student continued to use the girls’ locker room.
“I’m just dumbfounded that this is even a thing, that I’m having to go to this length in order to protect my child,” the mom told the National Review. She continued:
I was told that they’re looking into the [male] student’s rights, and that they would have to get back to me. That’s it. That’s all they said.
Then this:
They offered that my child could change in a different area if she felt uncomfortable or unsafe.
I can't even.
A FCPS spokesperson told the New York Post the district has yet to receive a complaint on this issue from the Department of Education:
"School staff are aware of the situation and have been addressing the concerns by working with the students and their respective families.
“Because this involves FCPS students, and to honor our student confidentiality obligations under state and federal law, we are not able to comment further at this time."
Seriously? Beyond outrageous. Then again, that's the left in a proverbial nutshell.
We've reached a point in much of this country where the rights of women and young girls are kicked to the curb in favor mentally-disturbed men and boys.
That is utterly insane. It must end.
