'The DNC Does Not Exist to Right Wrongs': Irate Carville Goes Off on Dems Over 'Land Acknowledgment'

Veteran Democrat strategist James Carville is an interesting guy. Furthermore, the older the architect of Bill Clinton's victorious 1992 presidential campaign gets, the more interesting he becomes.

I mean, I don't know if I view James as "a man I love to hate," or "a man I hate to love" — just kidding, both counts — but I do know this: In today's crazed world of Democrat politics, the wayward party would do itself a favor if it listened more to Mr. Carville, which I'm more than confident it won't do.

The latest example of Carville's rebuke of his dying party comes in the aftermath of Lindy Sowmick — treasurer of Minnesota’s Democratic-Farmer-Labor Party and a self-described "Indigenous queer woman" — opening the Democrat National Committee (DNC) summer meeting in Minneapolis by acknowledging and honoring the "Dakota Oyate," which refers to to the Dakota people or Santee Sioux, an indigenous group of the the Great Plains and Midwest.

Having watched Sowmick's syrupy and embarrassingly long, pandering statement, I was with James — even before I listened to his well-reasoned tirade about the blatantly ridiculous patronization.

During a segment on his "Politics War Room" podcast with co-host Al Hunt, Carville absolutely went off on his party for seemingly failing to learn from both its beatdown in the 2024 general election and its ongoing string of defeats at the hands of President Donald Trump and the Republican Party.

Carville said (shouted):

Lady, you’re right, what we did to the Native Americans has really been well documented. It is a sad part of our nation’s history. [But] why "Why are you bringing this up in an election!?

This is an election, and the DNC is not the place to discuss this. Understand this, the DNC does not exist to right wrongs. It doesn’t exist to acknowledge the more unpleasant parts of history. It doesn’t exist to make people feel good. It exists — just get it through your head —to win elections.

Lo and behold, my Democrat friends, Carville was not only spot on; he also nailed a perfect example of how your out-of-touch Democrat Party has intentionally moved away from mainstream America, including millions of former Democrat voters who've grown tired of the nonsensical (mis)focus of your Trump-obsessed party.

Carville continued to admonish the Democrats, pleading:

Now do you think that is going to help us win elections, say, like we did in Iowa? Please stop this, in the name of a just, merciful God. Don’t you see what’s happening? Don’t you see where this has brought us to? For God's sake, lady. And what is [DNC chairman] Ken Martin doing, doing that? You don’t have but one job, kid! It’s to win!

Acknowledging that Sowmick may be a nice person in real life, Carville shouted:

That has nothing to do with it. You’re supposed to try to win f***ing elections!

Did I mention that Carville was right?

The Bottom Line

I suggested earlier in the article, James Carville — who calls balls and strikes and understands politics more than many people on both sides of the divide — was spot on in his analysis of the fiasco in Minneapolis — and the misadventures of a party gone off the rails.

As I also mentioned earlier, let's hope the Democrat Party continues to ignore every word that comes out of Mr. Carville's mouth.

Editor’s Note: The Democrat Party has never been less popular as voters reject its globalist agenda.
