In this episode of "Try to Control Your Shock and Amazement"...

A senior aide for former President Joe Biden and Biden family insider has finally admitted the administration was “gaslighting” Americans when it repeatedly dismissed growing concerns about the oldest-ever president’s 82-year-old age and cognitive (in)ability.

As a refresher, "gaslighting" is "a form of psychological abuse or manipulation in which the abuser attempts to sow self-doubt and confusion in their victim's mind." 

In other words, the Biden administration and its left-wing lapdog media lied for years that clearly confused president was sharp as a tack — which was laughable yet troublesome to the sane and rational among us. 

Laughable because it ultimately became tragic theater, the more the "Where am and what am I doing? president tried to shake hands with air delivering remarks, cluelessly wandered around on stage, only to be dragged off by "Dr." Jill Biden, or mixed up people, events, and dates like nobody's business. 

Troublesome because low-information rank-and-file Democrat voters bought it, hook, line, and sinker, while Democrat elites knew it was a lie yet pushed it regardless — because they didn't care.

As reported by Puck, under the headline "A Biden Family Insider Tells All," Michael LaRosa, a former White House aide and longtime press secretary for First Lady "Dr." Jill Biden, has admitted that the Biden campaign was aware from “day one” that the then 81-year-old’s age was an issue — and that aides were “scared to death” of letting him do off-the-cuff interviews ahead of the 2024 presidential election. 

Who knew? Other than those unwilling to see the truth, that is — and most of them were lying, and still do.

While LaRosa finally admitted what tens of millions of Americans already knew, the words he used in his admission were less than satisfying to this writer: 

Cover-up to me is a little hard, a little harsh. Every politician, everybody, every human being tries to cover up age. We were always, from day one, cognizant that age was an issue.

There are some things that are true, I mean, like the gaslighting. There was a lot of denial of the polling. And I will use the term gaslighting because that’s what they were doing, the campaign, former colleagues. The message to everybody was to make sure that you tell people it’s too early.

Yeah, no. 

Denying poll results is one thing — I doubt there's a politician in the country who hasn't done it — but we're talking about perhaps the worst cover-up in presidential history. 

Moreover, the cover-up had zero to do with Biden's age — I have friends in their mid-80s who are as sharp as a proverbial tack — it was only about a mentally declining puppet whose presidency was undoubtedly run by non-elected radical leftists, with assistance from any number of Democrats, likely including former President Barack Obama and definitely including the hovering, ever-present "Dr." Jill, who even ran a cabinet meeting or two near the end of her husband's destructive presidency.

To be clear, Michael LaRosa was (is) no angel.

As my colleague Nick Arama reported in June 2021, LaRosa wrote a glowing cover article for Vogue about the many wonders of "Dr. Jill. LaRosa wrote, in part:

She is, quite simply, a joy multiplier. Here’s a first lady who is driven, tireless, effortlessly popular, but also someone who reminds us of ourselves.

Sorry, no. 

"Dr." Jill was and remains a self-centered, power-hungry opportunist who regularly showed far more concern for herself and her public persona than her mentally-declining husband — to the point of elder abuse.

Still, LaRosa later called Biden's pardon of his grifter son, Hunter Biden, "an attack on our judicial system," said of the Biden administration, "everything looks and feels so choreographed," and warned the Democrat Party and its lapdog media against slurring then SecDef nominee Pete Hegseth.  

The President's Team Was Scared to Death

So, how terrified was Team Biden of letting Joe fly solo? This terrified, according to LaRosa:

The president’s team was scared to death of impromptu, unscripted, unrehearsed, unpracticed, unchoreographed, anything, they couldn’t compete for the attention economy,” he said.

They just couldn’t do it. They didn’t have any idea. And they didn’t have the vessel either in Biden, by the way, who would have done anything. He loves TV. He loves doing stuff. It was the orbit that did not trust their own candidate.

Biden needed the press. When he needed them the most, they didn’t trust him, they gave him the back foot of the doubt and they put their foot on the gas and never took it off. And he was politically dead.

Unfortunately for Team Biden, the Democrat Party, and the left-wing media sock puppets, they rode their "politically dead" horse far too long, only to ultimately kick Biden to the curb in what amounted to a palace coup, and install the hollow fraud of hollow frauds, Vice President Kamala Harris as their 2024 presidential nominee.

The rest is history, as they say, but America now has an opportunity to truly become "great again." Not that it wasn't already, mind you, but now there's a new sheriff in the White House who continues to win — and so do the American people.
