'The View' Spew: Whoopi and the Ladies Laughably Laud the 'Great Gift of Freedom' of Hunter Biden Pardon

Townhall Media

If you could have bet your bank account, your 401(k), and your house that the laughable ladies of ABC's clown show "The View" would not only enthusiastically laud President Joe Biden's unconditional pardon of his wayward son Hunter Biden, but also make complete fools out of themselves by insisting that the serial-lying lame-duck president hasn't consistently lied when he's pledged that he wouldn't pardon Hunter, would you have done so?

Me, too. In a heartbeat.

Welp, sure as can be, that's exactly what happened on Monday's episode, as the "Cackling Coven" gleefully celebrated a corrupt father's "great gift of freedom" to his grifting son, who was found guilty on gun charges in Delaware in June, and also had pled guilty to tax charges in California in September.

Moreover, moderator (den mother) Whoopi Goldberg worked herself into a frenzy as she continued to insist that Biden didn't lie (innumerable times) when he said he wouldn't pardon Hunter under any circumstances.

Referring to Biden's months-long lie as a "change of heart," Whoopi kicked off the absurd festivities while also making sure to take a now-meaningless shot at President-elect Donald Trump (emphasis, mine).

Yesterday Biden had a change of heart granting his son a full pardon on tax evasion and federal gun charges. He released a statement that, quote, says, “no reasonable person who looks at the facts can reach any other conclusion than Hunter was singled out because he is my son. That is wrong, and there's no reason to believe it will stop here. Now, I hope Americans will understand why a father and a president would come to this decision.”

So the question is, will people understand? You know, listen. I get it. We got a convicted felon as president.

Whoopi, of course, "forgot" to mention that Justice Department special counsel Jack Smith recently dropped his federal election interference case against Trump, that a U.S. federal judge dismissed the case accusing Trump of improperly handling/retaining classified documents, and that Trump is seeking dismissal of the New York criminal case in which he was found guilty in May of 34 felony counts involving falsified business records. On November 22, Judge Juan Merchan ruled to delay Trump's sentencing in light of his election win, and it's unclear at this point whether and when such sentencing might take place.

Anyway, after co-host Sunny Hostin clapped like a seal, Whoopi continued to spew.

And I know that -- that you-know-who’s been asking, you know, are you going to pardon the January 6th folks? Actually, probably not, but [long pause] I kind of feel like -- I look at the list of folks that you-know-who pardoned during the first term. He granted 237 acts of clemency, 143 pardons, and 94 commutations, including Michael Flynn, Roger Stone, Paul Manafort, Charles Kushner, Steve Bannon, George Papadopoulos, Albert Pirro, and Lil Wayne.

Couple of differences. First, Trump didn't pledge, over and over, that he wouldn't pardon any of the above. Second, I checked out the list, and none of their last names is Trump. Incidentally, Goldberg has previously declared that she will continue to refuse to call Trump by name. Not childish at all, Whoopi -- nah, no way.

Goldberg continued:

You know, it is a president's prerogative. People can say, why are you doing that? That's what presidents do every time. They do it every time. They pardon somebody. So I'm not sure where the pearl-clutching is happening now except that that's what folks want to do, but it seems kind of foolish. You kind of knew he was going to do it given all that's happened, but maybe I'm just kooky.

Yes, it's a president's prerogative. Yes, presidents pardon people "all the time."

But the "pearl-clutching," as Goldberg derisively called it, is because, again, Joe Biden pledged not to pardon Hunter multiple times. He lied. Call it whatever you choose to, but the man bald-faced lied. Even worse, he favored a family member over the law; a family member over equal justice under the law. Yep, equal justice be damned, Biden defiantly showed us.

In a bit of a surprise, former Republican (pretend Republican, whatever) co-host Alyssa Farah disagreed with Goldberg about the pardon.

Most Americans, if they face consequences for actions that they took, they're going to have to face them, and nobody powerfully and politically connected is going to come sweep in and save them.

And I think, A. this feeds the notion to a lot of this country that there's simply a different set of rules for folks in power. And when we sit here and say a lot, like, ‘well, Donald Trump did X, Y, and Z, and how did he get elected?’ Cause to a lot of this country, it just becomes noise. They think if you commit crimes and somebody powerful and connected in D.C., right, left, center, Biden, Trump, you're going to be able to get away with it if you have someone on your side; and that’s not how it is for everyday folks.

Secondly, I take issue with lying about it. I wanted to ask him here when he came on "The View," but the thought was he said so many times he wasn't going to pardon him. That to me is lying to the public. I felt bad for Karine Jean-Pierre that she repeatedly had to say he wasn't going to pardon him. This is why people don't trust Washington, that’s why they don’t trust politicians.

Sunny Hostin then basically lost her mind in response to Farah, but I chose not to waste time transcribing her babbling nonsense. If you're interested in seeing it, watch the video; I just can't.

The Bottom Line

It's been hilarious watching CNN, MSNBC, and the ABCNBCCBS late-night talk show hosts and other left-wing media types as they've scrambled to defend Joe Biden's reprehensible, in-your-face, pardon of his son, Hunter.

Yet, we can always bet that the laughable ladies of "The View" will be there for pure entertainment purposes. That is if ABC doesn't come to what little senses it might have and kick the ridiculous show to the curb.
