Sunny Hostin Has Brief Moment of Clarity About 'Morning Joe' Trip to Mar-a-Lago, Then Reverts to Form

In this episode of "'The View' Spew"...

As the left's hysterical circular firing squad continues over President-elect Donald Trump's definitive win over Vice President Kamala Harris, I was happier than a proverbial pig in the mud to write this article about three of my "favorite" TDS-afflicted characters: "Morning Joe" co-hosts Joe Scarborough and Mika Brzezinski, and "The View" co-host Sunny Hostin.

In this episode, Hostin actually had a brief moment of clarity on Monday, during which she blasted Joe and Mika's pilgrimage to Trump's Mar-a-Lago in an apparent attempt to play nice with the incoming president, after bashing him unmercifully for years -- particularly during the recent presidential election campaign.

The husband-and-wife team spent bitter day after bitter day comparing Trump to Adolf Hitler, calling him a fascist, warning that he'd put his enemies in "internment camps" and that his presidency would end democracy in America. In other words, they perfectly parroted the Democrat Party's talking points.

Hostin did the same, of course, as did her lady comrades on their ridiculous ABC show.

Hostin went straight at Joe and Mika over their trip to meet with the incoming president, which was a beautiful thing to behold. Hostin began by absurdly talking about how much America needs a "free press," as if to suggest that her ridiculous TDS-riddled show is even close (emphasis, mine).

The bottom line is that America needs a free press that is willing to speak truth to power right now more than ever. And I think that we have to be very clear-eyed when we think about the president-elect and cover the president-elect.

And I don’t think you need to sit down for 90 minutes at Mar-a-Lago and kiss his ring to be able to speak truth and to be able to cover a story. So maybe they’re not journalists in the true sense.

Coupla things, here.

First, Hostin and her lady comrades represent truth like independent filmmaker Michael Moore represents an "after" image in a Weight Watchers ad.

Second, mentioning "journalists" in the same sentence as Joe and Mika is even more hilarious.

Third, "The View" is tantamount to a daily ride in a far-left clown car.

Sunny Talks 'Fake News'

Hostin pinned "the era of fake news" on... wait for it... Trump.

He is the guy who ushered in alternative facts. He is the guy who attacked three black female journalists. He’s the guy that revoked Jim Acosta’s press credentials for asking him a question. And so I think that this president-elect, I hate to say it, would like nothing more than to have only Fox News cover him. Would like nothing more than a state-sponsored media.

The left's hypocrisy knows no bounds.

It was Kamala Harris, not Donald Trump, who desperately attempted to talk only to friendly "journalists" who undoubtedly asked her agreed-upon softball questions. She was finally forced by public pressure and terrible internal polling results to sit down with Fox News anchor Bret Baier near the end of her disastrous campaign. In a word, Baier shellacked Harris -- professionally so.

And it was Donald Trump who sat down for virtually every interview he was offered, unafraid of the attacks that would surely -- and did -- come his way.

So please, Sunny, knock off the nonsense.

Hostin ended her silly diatribe by concluding that Trump could not “be trusted in the way that other presidents can be trusted.”

Really? Did Hostin mean like Joe Biden could be trusted to protect the American people by stopping the never-ending surge of unvetted illegal aliens across our southern border? Or like Harris could have been trusted to carry through on her multitude of pretend flip-flop conversions if she actually became president?

We could continue, but why? We get it.

The left is the left. And watching them eat their own will never get old.
