WATCH: Trump-Obsessed Psaki Absurdly Scolds the Media for Honest Reporting on Biden's Mental Decline

Former Biden White House press secretary turned MSNBC simp Jen Psaki isn't a happy camper. Granted, it's been a rough four days since the release of the explosive Hur Report for the Democrat Party as a whole, but it's been particularly brutal for beleaguered Joe Biden water carriers like Psaki. On Sunday's episode of "Meet the Press," she let her blatant hypocrisy get the best of her.

At issue for Psaki has been the "unfair" characterization of Biden in the Hur Report as a "sympathetic, well-meaning, elderly man with a poor memory," which she thinks the media should spend more time challenging.

In other words, Psaki thinks the so-called "mainstream" media is neither carrying enough water for Joe — nor attacking Donald Trump enough. (Emphasis, mine.)

If you're sitting in the White House and on the campaign right now you are absolutely banging your head against the wall at the way that the Thursday report has been covered, given all of the things that have happened this week- including, and I know you asked Chris Christie about this, the fact that Donald Trump yesterday suggested that Vladimir Putin should have free reign in attacking NATO allies and what do we see is wall to wall coverage of whether a guy who is four years older than his opponent is too old to be president.

To be sure, Trump's claim that he would encourage Russia to “do whatever the hell they want” if it attacked a NATO country that didn't "pay its bills" was both irresponsible and dangerous. Did he mean it? I doubt it — but Vladimir Putin heard it. Xi Jinping heard it. The mad mullahs in Tehran heard it, and so did "Little Rocket Man" in North Korea.

That said, Psaki tried her damnedest to deflect from the devastating report by playing the whataboutism card against Trump, the Democrats' all-time favorite target — and it simply didn't work.

Panelist Brendon Buck, the former press secretary to former Speaker John Boehner, suggested that Biden should "bring that out." [Trump's NATO comments).

It’s the president's job to bring that out and attack his opponent. I mean, the president is not taking the opportunity on Super Bowl Sunday. He's not taking, really, any opportunities. And we hear, time and again…

Psaki disagreed, interjecting:

Oh, that's not true. It's not being covered. He has traveled just as much as Donald Trump ... Barack Obama. It is hard to break through the cloud of Donald Trump in this media environment. That is true.

Stop the tape. Huh? That's laughable. Biden doesn't do interviews because the media is only interested in "the cloud of Donald Trump"? Please.

Buck fired back:

You know as well as anyone he’s done fewer interviews, fewer press conferences than his predecessors, and we hear this— we heard from his spokespeople earlier. We’re led to believe that there’s two Joe Bidens. There’s one behind closed doors who is super sharp, who’s not showed his age at all.

And then when he steps out, we see him every time. It’s just not there, And we have to imagine there are people making decisions because they are behind closed doors with Joe Biden and they are also seeing some slippage.

Cue the crickets. Buck was right about "two Joe Bidens." Psaki knew it. We all know it. How could she — and we — not know it?

NBC News White House correspondent Kristen Welker was right, as well:

The challenge for the Biden campaign and for the president is changing voters' minds, because when you look at the polls—76 percent. We’re not talking about 50 percent. 76 percent say they have these concerns.

And the percentage of likely voters who think Joe Biden's continuing cognitive decline disqualifies him from running for reelection, much less serving another for years in the White House, is only going to grow.
