Shockingly, America, Big Bird has officially entered the COVID-19 vaccine war.
Sesame Street — the critically-acclaimed and breathtakingly informative infectious and emerging diseases show for kids — has launched a campaign to shill for children as young as five to be vaccinated. Even “better,” Big Bird, along with Elmo, Grover, and Oscar the Grouch, appeared on CNN — who knew? — town hall to pimp the “Sesame Street” vax for kids campaign.
The same CNN, mind you, as RedState reported in late October, that ridiculously touted in a headline:
People vaccinated against COVID-19 less likely to die from any cause, study finds
The Saturday morning town hall, titled “The ABCs of COVID Vaccines,” was hosted by an alleged expert who knows almost as much about COVID vaccines for kids as Big Bird and his “Sesame Street” pals — CNN chief medical correspondent Sanjay Gupta. Joining Gupta was CNN anchor Erica Hill, another COVID expert. Both geniuses answered questions about pediatric COVID vaccines from the puppets.
Podcaster and veteran media insider Steve Krakauer tweeted a clip of the CNN town hall, in which Big Bird as a 6-year-old (huh?) is urged to get jabbed and finally agrees.
CNN teamed up this morning with Sesame Street for a COVID vaccine “town hall” to convince 5-to-11-year-olds and their parents to get the young children vaccinated.

“My wing is feeling a little sore, but it’ll give my body an extra protective boost that keeps me and others healthy,” the official Big Bird Twitter account tweeted. “Ms. @EricaRHill even said I’ve been getting vaccines since I was a little bird. I had no idea!”
I got the COVID-19 vaccine today! My wing is feeling a little sore, but it'll give my body an extra protective boost that keeps me and others healthy.

Texas Sen. Ted Cruz quickly — and correctly — called the “Sesame Street” vax for kids campaign exactly what it is in a seven-word tweet:
Government propaganda…for your 5 year old!
I found the following tweet from some random vax-for-kids evangelist attacking Cruz to be amusing.
Right Wing Covidiots like Ted Cruz are lashing out at Big Bird for advocating children’s vaccines. They claim that this is ‘propaganda aimed at 5 year olds.’
Now I ask you, how many 5 year olds have their own twitter account?? Morons!!
Wait — who’s the “moron” — or “idiot” as it were — here?
Then there’s Joe Biden.
As RedState reported on Thursday, Biden made a barely-veiled threat, linking vaccinations for young children with school remaining open. And, incidentally, the CNN “Sesame Street” town hall happened just days after shots started going into the arms of children ages five to 11, following the Food and Drug Administration on Oct. 29 granting emergency use authorization to Pfizer-BioNTech’s shot for young kids.
However, in a June op-ed titled Think Twice Before Giving the COVID Vax to Healthy Kids, Martin Makary MD, and editor-in-chief of MedpageToday questioned the wisdom of vaccinating young healthy kids. Dr. Makary, who practices at Johns Hopkins Hospital, wrote:
“Based on the data to date, there’s no compelling case for it right now.
“Given that the risk of a healthy child dying is between zero and infinitesimally rare, it’s understandable that many parents are appropriately asking, why vaccinate healthy kids at all?”
Yet, from Big Bird to Biden — two characters with the same degree of knowledge of COVID and vaccines — the left continues to blindly push the ever-loving hell out of vaccinating America’s 5-year-olds. Go figure.
