I wrote an article in May titled Carville, Axelrod Deliver Blunt Message to ‘Smug,’ ‘Arrogant’ Dems — They’ll Totally Ignore It,’ in which I reported on the frustration of former Clinton official James Carville and former Obama official David Axelrod with the radical agenda of the Democrat Party. In a joint appearance, both veteran Democrats teed off on the party of Nancy Pelosi, Chuck Schumer, and presumably, Joe Biden.

Blasting the Democrats with terms like “metropolitan arrogance” and “urban smugness,” the message was clear: The faster and farther the Democrat Party Crazy Train rushes down the radical-left track, the more “detrimental” it will be to the Democrats’ future election prospects.

And now?

My May headline — ‘They’ll Totally Ignore It’ — was correct. Carville’s back. And pissed. Even more, now.

As reported by The Blaze on Wednesday, Carville dropped by CNN’s “Cuomo Live” on Tuesday night for a segment in which he took off the gloves, pulled no punches, and in straight-up Carville-style, told Fredo the majority of Democratic voters disagree with the “noisy identity left,” as noted by The Blaze, which he estimated to be just 15% of Democrats.

The problem with that “noisy identity left,” Carville said, is they don’t win elections.

“We’re letting a noisy wing of our party define the rest of us. And my point is we can’t do that. I think these people are kind of nice people. I think they’re very naive and they’re all into language and identity, and that’s all right.

“They’re not storming the Capitol, but they’re not winning elections. And I think people ought to see this for what it is.”

Incredulously, either Fredo agreed — or he knew better than to get into it with the wily old “Ragin’ Cajun.”

As I watched the beginning of the clip, I found myself wondering “Who are you and what did you do with Chris Cuomo?”  Fredo didn’t quite go James Carville, but he did — if only for a fleeting moment — “almost” sound like a real journalist.

Carville told Fredo people are far more interested in their lives and how to improve them than they are interested in “someone else’s pronouns,” as transcribed by The Blaze.

“The overwhelming number of Democrats, the most important constituents in our party, are blacks and suburban women, they’re not into this, all right? People are way more interested in their lives and how to improve them than they are interested in somebody else’s pronouns.”

And therein lies the conundrum for Pelosi, Schumer, Biden & Co.

Democrat Party leadership has willfully allowed itself to be taken hostage by the far-left faction of the party. Pelosi has been terrified of Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez from Day One. Toss in Ilhan Omar, Rashida Tlaib, Ayanna Pressley, Cori Bush, Jamaal Bowman. et al., and the  “helpless obedience” of the House Democrat Caucus to the rabid left only continues to grow.

Schumer’s Senate Democrat Caucus is a different story.

Sure, Chucky has Bernie Sanders, Elizabeth Warren, Raphael Warnock, and other leftists to deal with, but Chucky is Chucky. He’s gonna do what he’s gonna do — which doesn’t include ticking off Pelosi.

And Biden? Who the hell knows? Except that Captain Ice Cream Cone clearly lacks the mental acuity to do anything more than what he’s told to do, sign what he’s told to sign, and say what he’s told to say, and half the time he screws up “any or all of the above.” so there’s that.
