Life can be hard for one of the best basketball players on the planet, who’s also not only an eminent legal scholar but a noted law enforcement expert. In his own mind — and mouth — that is. LeBron James’s latest trip down Idiocy Lane began with a “You’re Next” tweet, which included an image of the Columbus, Ohio, police officer who shot an enraged young black woman a split-second before she stabbed another young black woman.
As the controversy over James’s tweet grew, he deleted it, as we reported on Wednesday.
All good? Oh hell, no.
James later shot his mouth off on Twitter about why he deleted the tweet in a full-of-crap mini-rant; none of which included an apology for putting a target on the back of a law enforcement officer — literally as an all-too-familiar mob scene played out — who had properly stopped an out-of-control black woman from injuring or killing… a black woman.
Our moral, ethical, and intellectual betters leaped on the story of a cop shooting a black girl because they assumed she was the victim. But the victim was another black girl that she was just about to stab. So now they’re just straight-up lying about it. pic.twitter.com/4pIDuw6LWc

Fox News host Sean Hannity on Thursday morning tweeted a statement from the National Fraternal Order of Police condemning James as “disgraceful and extremely reckless.”
“[He] should educate himself and, frankly, has a responsibility to do so, on the facts before weighing in. This is disgraceful & extremely reckless. The officer saved a young girl’s life.”
Which was clear to anyone with a rational mind who saw the video, which clearly shows how the attempted stabbing by, and shooting of, Ma’Khia Bryant played out.

.@KingJames, with his vast resources & influence, should educate himself and, frankly, has a responsibility to do so, on the facts before weighing in. This is disgraceful & extremely reckless.
The officer saved a young girl’s life. No amount of gaslighting will change that fact. pic.twitter.com/GTHn1VAAlf

Could LeBron James get any stupider? Um, yeah, yeah, he could. And he did just that on Wednesday night, with two tweets ‘splainin’ why he deleted the threatening tweet.
“ANGER does [sic] any of us any good and that includes myself! Gathering all the facts and educating does though! My anger still is here for what happened that lil girl. My sympathy for her family and may justice prevail!”
“Gathering all the facts and educating…” OK, now you’re just messin’ with us, right? Using the word “facts” and “LeBron James” in the same sentence when describing this case — as just the latest example — is laughably mutually exclusive.
ANGER does any of us any good and that includes myself! Gathering all the facts and educating does though! My anger still is here for what happened that lil girl. My sympathy for her family and may justice prevail! 🙏🏾✊🏾🤎👑

The praying hands, fist clenched in protest, and crown emojis were a nice touch, don’t you think? The second tweet was even “better.”
“I’m so damn tired of seeing Black people killed by police. I took the tweet down because its being used to create more hate -This isn’t about one officer. it’s about the entire system and they always use our words to create more racism. I am so desperate for more ACCOUNTABILITY”
“Accountability.” An interesting word from a guy who shoots his uninformed mouth off after every police action involving a white officer and a black “victim,” without a shred of evidence in support of why he does so. This is the same guy, by the way, who pulls a hamstring rushing to defend his Chinese overlords from other NBA players and coaches who are courageous enough to speak out against the Chicoms’ continuing efforts to strangle Hong Kong — not to mention the genocide against the Uyghurs in Xinjiang.
Money talks, right LeBron?

What kind of a moron — wait — let’s take a different tack with a couple of questions.
Let’s do “black people killed by police” first. Are you just as “so damn tired of” seeing black people killed by black people, LeBron? In far greater numbers (see: “bloody streets of Chicago’s Southside” for a perfect example)? Or are those senseless murders, okay? When was the last time you spoke out against— let alone visited — the black-on-black bloodshed in Chicago, New York, Los Angeles, Baltimore, or anywhere else?
Never mind; rhetorical question.
Washington Post columnist Tim Young also sees a fly in your hypocritical ointment, LeBron.
To clarify: Lebron is ok with black people killing other black people… he’s only upset when a white police officer stops the murder from happening.

While we’re at it, let’s talk about that “lil girl.” That “lil girl” was a split-second from likely stabbing to death an unarmed “lil girl” who was, at the time, simply trying to avoid being stabbed. Question, LeBron: What if that “lil girl” was your daughter? Your sister? Your wife? Exactly as it all went down? What would you have wanted the white “systemically racist” cop to do — in that split-second? We both know the answer, do we not?
Conservative writer Caleb Hull? Yeah, he thinks you’re a hypocrite, too, “King.”
If the officer hadn’t shot the girl with the knife, the other girl would have died. You’re making it a little to obvious that you don’t care about black on black crime because it doesn’t fit your narrative.
— Caleb Hull (@CalebJHull) April 22, 2021
And, of course, you’re a hypocrite, LeBron James. And you continually open your uninformed mouth on a regular basis to prove it.
How about you just shut up and dribble? And not from your runaway mouth.
