Conservative actor James Woods incenses lefties on Twitter without even trying, as does Donald Trump. Combine the two, and within a nanosecond, we’re in for a hot mess of bitterness and unbridled hatred.
With less that three months until the election, and multiple polls (yeah, I know; “polls) showing Trump trailing in battleground states he won in 2016, Woods took to Twitter on Wednesday to issue a rallying cry to the faithful.
This is our last stand, folks. And here’s your last defender. If they take him down, America is gone forever. Vote for @realDonaldTrump like your life depends on it.

Woods was right, of course. In terms of Trump currently standing as “your last defender.” The president thanked Woods for the tweet.
Thank you James. Sadly, you are 100% correct!!! https://t.co/tk9k4SJxTa

And just like that… it was game on.
Let’s begin with twice-fired Fox News political analyst Bob Beckel, who went Bob Beckel on Woods.
How did you turn into such an asshole. You’re a smart guy one of the smartest in the world and you side with this idiot. Woods you are a sell out
— Robert G Beckel (@RobertGBeckel) August 13, 2020
Woods calmly responded — in devastating fashion.
Your brother Graham is one of the finest men I know, and one of my dearest friends. I’ll do him the courtesy of letting this slide. I know he’s embarrassed enough. Have a nice day. #INSTABLOCK https://t.co/nOQCZWKeHf

“Miguel” admonished Woods:
“If you stick with trash, you eventually become trash.”

“Roger” skipped over Woods and went directly after Trump.
Trump already did enough damage the incompetence of the pandemic the economy his racist rhetoric and the tax cut for the rich what more do we need to witness vote trump out in November !!!

“Steve H” went the “artistic” route, suggesting that Trump should join Bill Cosby, Harvey Weinstein, and Jeffrey Epstein on a Mount Rushmore of a different kind.

“If they take him down, America is gone forever.”
“Only I can fix it”

Being somewhat of a wordsmith, I was pretty excited to learn a new word — cockwomble — which “Susan” described as:
“A person, usually male, prone to making outrageously stupid statements and/or inappropriate behavior, while generally having a very high opinion of their own wisdom and importance.”
You and he are both a pic.twitter.com/rA0xZotOUf

“Constantyn” appears to be a wordsmith, as well. You ‘spose he’s a cockwomble, too? You know, just like James and Donald.
Ah, the James Woods that was so often banned from Twitter for spreading falsehoods is back again, promising doom for America! Pathetic is derived from pathos, James.

This Black Lives Matter follower seemed to think Woods should only trend on Twitter after he’s dead.
James woods is trending and he’s not dead. pic.twitter.com/Ingw3DOWsg

As did “George.”
Everyone calm down, James Woods is not trending because he was found dead of an apparent overdose. Maybe next time we’ll be lucky.

“Ron” just thought Woods should get together with Chuck Wollery, another rare conservative in Hollywood, and retire.
James Woods and Chuck Woolery need to retire to the Actors Home in SoCal and sit and play bingo with the others who never quite became the legends they are in their minds https://t.co/XxAeMA7YLQ

Trump Derangement Syndrome on Twitter is hardly new. After all, Jack Dorsey’s left-leaning platform has been at war with Trump and his supporters for months — most recently, as reported by RedState’s Nick Arama, earlier this month, by restricting the Trump campaign’s account for tweeting “misinformation” about COVID.
In a somewhat related bit or irony, as I reported yesterday, Democrat operatives have reportedly warned news outlets, via memo, “We will be watching you” — in reference to criticism of Kamala Harris, which the memo said will be viewed as “sexist” and/or “racist.”
Meanwhile, James Woods continues to push the Twitter envelope. In May, 2019, he announced he was leaving the social media platform “until free speech is allowed,” following an April suspension.
What a disappointment that would be to TDS-riddled Twitterers who hang on his every Trump-supporting tweet.
